I just had to write and tell you about my recent experience at your hospital. My champion, 4lb chihuahua presented with a dystocea late Wednesday night. As a part time veterinarian, the hospitals where I practice were either too far to reach in a timely manner or not staffed for emergency surgery after hours. Fortunately, your facility provides this much needed , emergency service and I can't tell you how pleased and thankful I was with the care my bitch received from your staff. From the minute we walked through the door, we were given the utmost attention. The professionalism, expertise and above all the caring attitude of all involved that night is a credit to you and Falls Rd. If you could personally extend my gratitude to Dr. Rachel Beard, Amy, Shannon, Jen, Cindy and Lea for a job well done, and in my opinion, above and beyond that which I have experienced in my over 25 years as a veterinarian. Mark, myself, "MeMe" and her two thriving puppies thank you! Sincerely, Dru Oliveri Katz, V.M.D.

Dirty, small, no outdoor turnout. Run by kids! Too many nice kennels out there to subject my dog to this place again!

Worst hospital in the area. Not clean, overpriced and had one (and fortunately only) awful experience there. My dog was misdiagnosed but spent a lot of money and time as the wait was over 45 minutes. My dog was treated elsewhere and is doing fine thankfully, but I would never recommend going to this hospital.

I have to say that Falls Road Animal Hospital has been wonderful with each experience I have had there. I would never take my pets any where but there. A couple of nights ago I had to take my puppy there to be treated to a mild allergic reaction. All of the staff was very attentive, courteous, friendly and made sure that my pet and I were both comfortable and treated with great hospitality. The ER veterinarian was wonderful! There were several other emergencies being seen at the time, more serious than my pet's, when I was there, yet my puppy was tended to as soon as we were checked in, and she was taken back to be treated as soon as it was possible, and I was kept updated on her status by the techs. I am thankful for Falls Road and the the staff there. Hats off to a wonderful place.

Very Grateful: I had to take my animal to the vets during the middle of the night. The people were so kind and helpful to me. Everyone showed compassion and a genuine concern for my pet and I. I can't thank them enough for saving my pets life. I will be eternally grateful to each and everyone who was there.

We had the worst experience there and have been told by other people that all they want and care about is your money, period. We spent over $1,000 dollars to make our dog throw up something he ingested. Over the top rip off scam.

So you want to know about my experience @ Falls Road Animal Hospital. What a horrific place to take your pet. Approximately in 2005 I called them in reference to having my dog kenneled there while my family went on vacation; well i left my beloved dog there on a Sunday; and proceeded the next day to go on vacation to Ocean City so when we arrived I received a phone call on my cell phone informing me that I had to come pick up my dog because she was uncontrollable. Great huh? They were also informed that if she had to be sedated that it was OK. So here we are in O.C. with my daughter who at the time was approx. 15 years old and her best friend well, my husband and I had to decide what to do, so after several phone conversations and my daughter and I crying we decided to tell them to put the dog to sleep. And of course they said Oh, no, they would try to work with her. So the week went by and no more phone calls, however, we decided to shorten our vacation and come home early because we were concerned about our dog. So when we arrived back home on Thursday we went to pick up the dog paid my bill and was told that we had to go get her due to them being afraid. More like not being trained very well. Anywho when we went to the kennel to get her, the animal was so sedated that she was very lethargic. We took her to my truck and my daughter was screaming that she was bleeding, took her back into the hospital and waited to see our favorite vet Dr. Kirk Hammond. You know the one always on channel 21, well he came in the room and yelled at my husband and I because the dog was so scared and urinated all over his poor floor. Plus they tried to muzzle her to look at her duclaw that was bleeding and
so the jerk doctor told us after he looked at her foot never to come back to his establishment again. Trust me I wouldn't even take my dead animal there. So sad that someplace like there who had unqualified people is still open to the public. Now that my daughter works as a groomer, some of her friends use to work for that idiot and quit due to him being so careless.

As a former employee, please trust this review. Unless you enjoy animal abuse, unsanitary conditions, and extremely poor customer service, DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL. *the kennel- too many animals, not enough people. sometimes there are over 200 animals, and no more than 15 (as low as 8) kennel personnel. *the daycare- again, to many animals, not enough people. a 30 to 1 ratio dogs to people is NEVER a good idea. animals that are NOT spayed/neutered are allowed in, even though it is said they aren't. no dog is turned away UNTIL it gets into a fight. i saw dozens of animals sent to the hospital with wounds needing stiches. it is also usually very unsanitary and feces/uring covered. *the hospital- again- to many animals, not enough people, and not enough smart people. you can wait HOURS just to pick up a prescription. many of the techs are completely clueless and are not even certified. i knew some who could not even draw blood. *overall, the staff is underpaid (minimum wage for many) and overworked, and therefore, even people like me who genuinelly care about animals cannot do so because it. there is a reason i quit. i hope everyone else quits as well. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. use the towson Pet-ER, mt. washington vet, or ANY OTHER VET EXCEPT THIS ONE. kim hammond DOES NOT care about your pet and will rob you of every penny you have. DO NOT USE THIS VET AT ANY COST.

Dr. Pineau is always right.  Yes, I know that sounds ridiculous. But my dog's been to a lot of vets, and when he goes other places, they're wrong 2/3 of the time.  I try very hard not to go other places.

As efficiently as the practice runs, Dr. Pineau is compassionate and has a funny side, too.  In addition, he charges less than most other vets.  That could be because he's located in the ghetto.  Don't let that scare you off, though.  The clientele is cozily middle class, with a few random very rich, struggling students, and struggling poor thrown in for good measure.  We all trek out to to Loch Raven Blvd to see the vet who doesn't have a TV in his waiting room, but makes our babies better.

My dog didn't see Dr. Bradley more than once or twice before she retired, and I'm not sure what I think of the new, young doctor that is now Dr. Pineau's partner.  Definitely doesn't have the wisdom that age brings with it, but I'm sure she's good if Dr. Pineau hired her.  I'm sticking with Dr. Pineau, though. My dog's complicated.

Btw, Dr. Pineau is known to specialize in Great Danes, but he's also very good with Jack Russells, and I imagine a wide variety of breeds.  They take cats and birds, as well.

The one bad thing I'll say about Aardmore is that I'm not a huge fan of their boarding service.  The dogs get two 1 minute walks a day, and are left without human companionship for long stretches of time.  Though that might be suitable for some dogs, I don't like doing that to my dog for more than 1 night.
