I called pipe systems plumbing because I had a toilet that would not stop running and I wanted someone to come out and fix it. The guy I spoke with asked me what kind of toilet it was and then proceeded to give me some quick fix ideas so I could do it myself and save some money. I was able to take care of it myself in just a few minutes, I am very impressed that he was willing to help me out like that for free. Now whenever I have plumbing problems they will be my first call.

To clarify other reviewer with low rating:
Out of thousands you'll always get one knot head.
After dozens of attempts to help him understand.
This one could not admit that his own amature siding & flashing was inadiquate
& absolutly could not understand moisture build up.
Insisted on installing a running pond in a small room with a sunny exposure.
By the way, it's never hard to find a contractor that will criticize another contractor.
Need I say more?

This guy is terrible.  He is a crook.  He charged me almost $400 for one hour of work.  Do not go to this man, he is not reputable.

I don't recommend that you use The Heating Specialist, Portland, Oregon to replace your Heating or Air Conditioning Systems. But if you do, make sure that you have included your compensation, in writing, in the contract when they screw up your job. As an example, you should have specific language on how much of the total bill they will deduct when they make a mistake due to poor planning or careless workmanship (10% to 50% off your bill).

If you make a verbal agreement or trust their literature, the promises end up as no 100% promise was made.

There is a Heating Specialist 100% No Risk Guarantee, which states that if the customer isnt happy, they will make it right or money back. They didn't want to work out the problems with their installation and I had to hire an attorney clean up their mess.

After the installation was complete, I as the consumer, without expertise on heating and air conditioning, pointed out problem areas to The Heating Specialist. When I didnt receive satisfaction from The Heating Specialist, I requested that the equipment manufacturers representative view the installation. He found that the installation was mechanically adequate but noted appearance and communication issues. He told me that he was disappointed with the patch work of The Heating Specialist. He also told me that he was disturbed with their lack of notification concerning issues and problems. Another contractor, recommended by the manufacturer, examined The Heating Specialists workmanship and found several issues with it, including them installing a lower end thermostat that would not allow the high end furnace to function to efficiency.

I chose The Heating Specialist because they said that they were all about customer satisfaction. They provided me with literature where they promise 100% customer satisfaction. They told me that they were all about lifetime customers. Their company literature states that they want the customer to be super pleased, in fact, absolutely delighted, with every installation and service job and nothing is more important than your complete and total satisfaction. Their treatment of me shows their words to be without merit.

Great service. I had them out for a clogged sink and they discovered a leak in the crawl space drain pipe. After going over a couple of options I chose to completely upgrade this pipe and they were able to start and complete the work that day. I highly recommend this company.

I used Rose City Electric to come install 2 outdoor electrical outlets and was charged $434 for the installation which is exorbitant. They charged me $146 for 2 covered outlets which is about $100 more than I could purchase them for myself. I was also charged $100 for travel time plus $20 for a truck fee. What the heck is a truck fee?? I left them a message expressing my displeasure, but have not received a call back.

This electrician was very unprofessional. He promised to come to do work, and then didn't show up or call. When he did start the work, he left the job unfinished and has left us for 8 days and counting with no electrical access to our dryer or stove! I have never been so disappointed in any serviceman.
