Our first experience with Daswani was disappointing. A tailored woman's suit:jacket, pants and skirt was much too large - so large, it seemed a joke. Unfortunately, even gross errors are not returnable. We are trying to salvage the garmets with alterations by a local tailor per Daswani policy but feel we are not getting quality garments.

Isn't Life Too Short For A Bad Fit?

This is Ken Daswani, owner of DaswaniTailors.com and CustomHongKongTailor.com.

I'm one of the very few custom tailors who has acquired training directly from traditional Shanghai craftsmen. With over 35 years of personal experience, I have satisfied customers from all professions in the USA, Japan, Australia, Canada and Europe.

When you have an appointment with me, I will assist you with determining your individual requirements, discuss your options, and suggest the best wardrobe choices befitting your personality and profession.

I take about 30 different measurements and also take photos of your body posture. You'll be shown a variety of styles and fabrics and I'll assist you with choosing the perfect garments to enhance your wardrobe.

My master tailors in Hong Kong then use the measurements and photos to make a unique paper pattern just for you. The custom clothing is handmade in Hong Kong, a duty-free port. This allows me to import the finest fabrics from designers around the world and still keep prices affordable.

Whether you require formal wear for a special occasion, suits or uniforms for work, or fine tailored casual clothing, I'll assist you with choosing the perfect styles and fabrics and deliver your clothing on time.

I've been extremly happy with my purchases from Daswani Tailors, clothes that actually fit; made for me for the price of an off-the-rack garment. If I lose weight, I don't have to worry as the garments will be retailored for me at no extra cost.

Audrey is a fantastic photographer. Her work is not canned at all - it is fresh and new and artistic. She is very versitle and listens to the client. She is fairly priced too. I highly recommend her. The photo's she has taken for me are priceless! Thank you Audrey,

Tres Fabu was fine for the first visit while my sister was looking for her gown and bridesmaid dresses...then they were horrible. Luckily her gown came in and alterations were done without problems. The bridesmaid dresses were another story. We were told they were ordered in May/June with guaranteed arrival at the beginning of October. We all lived in different parts of the country so we needed about a month before the wedding to get alterations and to travel to the wedding. They did not arrive at the scheduled time. We called and called and called without response from Tres Fabu. Finally, we were told they were to arrive in the store about 10 days prior to the wedding--obviously not enough time to ship to us, allow alterations and time for travel to the wedding. We were told the delay was with the fabric, but Mom ordered a dress in the same fabric from the same company and had her dress within 1 month. She ordered from a different bridal shop which eventually called the dress company for us since Tres Fabu would do nothing to help the situation. The other bridal shop placed a rush on the dresses and they arrived in time for the big day. They also told us that the dresses had not been ordered when stated, but had been ordered in Aug/Sept which is why they were delayed. Our credit cards had been charged in May/June, but they pocketed the money for the few months between then and when they actually placed the order. DO NOT GO HERE. They are very dishonest and the owner actually yelled at my sister in the middle of the store when she was trying to find out what happened to the dresses.

I use to live in PDX, moved to WA.But loved a wedding gown there, I was referred, so I ordered it knowing that I would have to make trips.Sales people the 1st 2 times were good-but the 1st fitting,I had to go by myself, and BALLED as soon as I was out the doors.They put me in my dress cut it while it was on me, then told me to get out of it so it wouldnt fray, didnt get to try on veils,& wouldnt see my dress again in time to order a veil since it takes weeks.Didnt ask if I needed any accessories- isnt that service& more $$$ for them?The alteration lady made my 2nd fitting 9 weeks out, which I thought was odd, & close, so I called 2 days later& moved my appt up a week.I show up after driving 6 hrs with my aunt & 2 flower girls, & mother-in-law to try on the dress with my underwear, veil (another store), learn how to bustle it, & tie up the corset.We waited 20 mins, eventually they told us, no one had us written down the appt, or told the seamstress.We asked if we could try on what was done- but she hadnt touched my dress yet. Thats all they offered, so my girls wanted to use the sample gown to test my stuff.It would be another week till my dress was ready,my Aunt was able to go see the dress.IT HAD SPOTS!How the seamstress got it dirty-I dont know!Talked to the owner & all she said was just worry about being a beautiful bride. She never admitted fault& was giving me attitude about paying for shipping!I paid to travel, buck up and pay the $50 for next day air.Which I did not get,it was mailed a day late.When I asked how it was shipped- they told me 2day.The tracking number didnt work.Still no dress,I called again& they said it was mailed priority! Still no dress.Again sales girls are nice enough- its the owner who doesn't give a s* after you pay for your dress. The Service has been awful- this is my day and shes treating me worse than DAVIDS BRIDAL!I bought a $2000 gown& no idea where it is& its now 2 weeks late from the date promised!

The owner does everything she can to help you have a wonderful celebration, whether it be a Wedding, Quinceanera, or Baptism/Christening.

This is a tiny store but the customer service is BIG. Laura the owner really goes the extra mile to help us brides!!! She made my cathedral length veil and shipped it to CA for my wedding.
