It seems that the older I get the more important it is that I find real value when spending money. Finally, I decided that paying more than $30 for a haircut was just not a smart way to spend my money.

So, I thought I would try a traditional barber like Elmer's Barber Shop. I am not sure why didn't do this sooner! For $11, I got a great haircut and had a nice experience. I couldn't ask for more.

The way I see it, I will save just under $300 this year by going to Elmer's, and I don't think my style or my haircut will suffer in the least.

My daughter got the tattoo but I paid for it and feel I have a right to complain even if she wont. She went in for her 1st tattoo with a sketch of a family tree idea - a tree with our family name "Green" incorporated into the roots. The sketch was rough but I imagined the "artist" would refine the 4th-grader-type tree into a stately oak with intricate roots and graceful tendrils. That's what artists do, right? You take in an idea and they turn it into art. NOT everyone at Metamorphosis is like that. My daughter would not tell me the tattoo gun operators name, so just be sure to ask for anyone EXCEPT the guy that did the Green family tree - unless you like blobs with jaggy lines. Washington Street...Rude staff. Teenagers man the desk, if you're lucky enough to find anyone at the front door. Don't interrupt their conversations though. This is something they do not appreciate. Heaven forbid they have to get out of their tipped back chair to assist you with anything. No greeting upon arriving and no "good-bye" or "thank you" when you leave. I realize children this age do not understand the importance of customer service. Some training in good service would certainly benefit these employees.

I drive almost every month from Ann Arbor Michigan for a hair cut. I have traveled and lived many places and no one comes close to the quality of service I receive at Cheatham and Moore. Thanks Bill for your years of service. Ron West

I walked in with beautiful, sily hair and walked out with a burnt over processed disaster. I wanted a Wash, Cut, full highlight roots retouched, style and blow out. After getting me in the chair they said that they would only have time for the highlights and I would have to come back tomorrow for the cut - needless to say after the damage done to my hair I chose not to return for the cut. I now have an overly frosted look that did not match my previous highlights and my hair is so ratted that I can barely get a comb or a brish through it. The full highlights did not take on the bottom layers of my hair, the highlights do not reach the front of the scalp giving me an appearance of about 6 weeks of growth, and there are a couple Bleed spots near the back of the scalp.

I sent in a complaint via the website and my call was returned by the owner Wendy Tooley (Spelling?) . When I tried to explain the extent of the damage she accused me of lying and being a part of some interpersonal drama they seem to be having at this location. Finally she did offer to refund half of the $90 and almost immediately hung up on me. She was rude and uncaring. I would not recommend this salon simnply because you might get a decent hair cut BUT if you don't they honestly don't care. In this difficult economic time I would much rather give my hard earned dollars to someone who appreciates my business and is willing to stand behind their work. No amount of money can fix the damage done to my hair which I have been growing for YEARS now I will have to cut off atleast 3 feet and just wait for it to grow out again. BUYER BEWARE!
