this is an outrageous and super expensive service for most customers from a middle class society who don't have Cooks Towing Service kind of money. the fees they charge are ridiculous and unnecessary. my car was there for about almost 3 weeks and my bill was over 500 dollars. that is crazy to most of us with average job or around that anyway. i am a student at a private university with no private kind of money. i have a minimum wage job i work at 2 days a week while i am in school to just pay gas and my phone bill like most young people. the Cooks service lady i spoke to called herself trying to 'cut a deal" of me only paying 150 dollars and giving her my title to call it even. remember the car is totaled in the first place, and all i want are a few belongings i need for college. why in the world would i pay this money and giver her my title for a car i have no use for anyway! you want a deal, i advise anyone ad everyone to never ever ask of their services. the fees were accounted for because it took me two and a half weeks to find where the car was, so how is that a fault of mine. they are a towing business on the south side of town. what in the world makes them think that people would have this kind of money. Hello, Cooks Towing Service, take a freaking look around you. i just want other people to be aware of this kind of service. this is no kind of a good service. for people who own a business, i;d assume they have had sum kind of business class or course taken in their lives. one thing you learn is: Location, Location, Location! they are in no location to charge what they do, for a car that is totaled, and a college student who clearly has no source of income like that. in the end, i was helpless! this was all because of an accident that occurred. and, because i was taken right to the hospital i had no say or ideal where and what was happening to my car! lesson for all; If you are ever in an accident make sure your car doesn't go to Cooks Towing Service!

the guy name JASON gave my friends 3 different prices on trying to install speakers what a nut job get your prices right then you'll be alright

Horrible! Please be aware of this company, as they are nothing but scammers. My truck was stolen in May. I since then purchased a new vehicle(thank God for car insurance). However, I received my FIRST notification and final notice through certified mail that they have been having my truck since 6/25/2009. Again I received the FIRST notice 9/1/2009. When called to inquire about this "final notice" with fees. They said it was a mechanic lien on this vehicle, and the BMV system was down for the 2 1/2 months, that is the reason why I'm just now getting the "final" notice. One would think , if it was a problem with the BMV system, it's not my fault, nor their's ..so why am I getting a FINAL notice. Their story went from the police had it towed, to the owner had it towed. I advised I was the owner, as my truck was paid off, and again if they police made a call it, it would have came up that it was a stolen vehicle. So in the end, it seems they have been holding my truck, only to rack up 1000.00 worth of fees that they will NOT be getting from me!!!

This place is just as bad as the one on the west side. Service sucked, the people there are rude, and they are well over priced

these guys give you the best quality service. Unlike other car audio installers, they do everything correct and do not cut corners with the install. I'm from out of town and will drive an hour just to have them do any and all of my car audio work

I purchased three tires (used) from this place.Within 24 hours I discovered this place did not balance any of the tires, as well, two of the tires had to be replaced, one was going flat and was dry rotted and the other had a broken belt. Then, while still under the 14 day guarantee, my third tire busted and caused me to be stranded and caused me to have to purchase a replacement tire from Petro's (since this place was closed). When I called BMB the following day (which was the day the warranty expired) the lady cursed me out and hung up on me after she refused to honor the warranty. I am planning on filing formal complaints with the BBB and the state Attorney General's Office. When I told her I would take this action (AFTER she refused to honor the warranty) she told me "well get off your ass and start making some calls". I recorded her cursing me out and have a copy saved on my computer. I am not only shocked, but really kind of upset because what else should I have expected from such a disorganized business?

I was a return customer at Darrings Detail for the last year and a half. I took my car there several times to have little scratches buffed out. In the past, they always let me come in on a Saturday morning. When I called recently to see if I could come back in, I was told that no more Saturday morning appointments would be available. I then said that I could bring my car in on a Thursday morning instead, after my medical appointment. Even though this was not very convenient for me, I would have done that. The next day, I thought that I could even bring my car in on a Wednesday morning and I called back to ask if that time and day would be fine. I was told that they had to call me back shortly. I never got a call back and I later emailed Darrings Detail and asked to please let me know if I can come in on Wednesday. I got a reply "Will let you know ASAP - Thanks". And then never heard back from them. I sent another email, stating that I am cancelling my appointment I had for Thursday. I feel as if they do not want my business and that they do not care that I was a return and loyal customer. I do not plan to go back there again and will find a new place. I never received a call or email from them again, even though I had called and emailed them so many times. All went unanswered.

The worst company I have ever dealt with! They use second rate aftermarket glass junk, and then do not back thier product. Even after only 4 1/2 months of use!! Save yourself alot of headache and use a company that uses stock PPG glass, and one that cares about thier customers.

Oh is that what it sounds like? Why is that, because I reported on bad service? I have the install number if you would like me to post it. Not only did they install defective glass that shattered the first time I used defrost, then they refused to even consider looking at it because I said I pointed the defect out to the installer but didn't have it replaced. The installer said it would be ok so I didn't think anything of it. Atleast till I actually used the defroster when it got cold out a few months later. The defect was in the lines of the rear winshield, not scrapes, but a decent size line that was disrupted. Installer said it was cosmetic. I think he just wanted to get out of there because it was at 5pm, not to mention he didn't show the first day.....what a joke. All this and the regional manager gave me attitude!

Compare prices with other shops, they use 2nd rate glass and are still not the least expensive out there. And if you want professional service STAY AWAY!

Poor service.My car needed jump starting on lot.I was told I couldn't use my own portable jump starter box.
I was told they had to jump start it on their property,and by the way it will be $20.00 in addition to the $120.00 tow fee.
I told them I would push it off the lot,and jump start it,I was told I wasn't allowed to do that.
I highly recommend another tow service.If you have paid a $120.00 tow fee,and you need to jump start the car,either they give you a free jump,or let you use your own jumpstarter box.
