I am extraordinarily happy with the International School. First of all, I am convinced that with the educational changes that the current administration made, this is by far the best pre-college education in the Indianapolis area. My children are becoming great writers, they are asking why, their homework has value (rather than just being rote work) and they are involved in athletics and in the community. Oh yes, don't forget that they are trilingual after having attended this school.

At the high school level, all students (even the average ones) study for the full International Baccalaureate Diploma - unlike other schools in the area where only the top 1-2% study for the full diploma, or only take a few diploma classes versus going for the full diploma. Parents, don't be fooled by the advertising...this is really the real deal.

Clearly, top colleges around the world are recognizing the value of this education. University of Edinburgh in Scotland has one of the top physics programs in the world. We've all heard of Cambridge, MIT and Princeton. 2009 International School Grads are attending these schools this fall.

Strong French and Spanish program. Some of the teachers are very dedicated but the administration is lacking and it shows. Classrooms, offices and common areas are severely outdated and in some cases in poor condition. Playground is a badly paved parking lot. Always asking for money in no very creative and rather 'needy' deppresing ways. Overall there is a lack of focus and resources that makes the complete operation look grey and tired. Some of the teachers are trying very hard but the smiles in their faces are fading and therefore the kids smiles are fading too.

Her son is addicted to porn and lives in the home. I would advise against taking your kids to her to care for.

My experience with this school was awful. Students sat for long periods of time with no activities or interaction. Apparently no teachers helped students with their lunches, so my child came home nearly every day with everything uneaten still in the lunch bag. The teachers nearly always looked as though they did not enjoy teaching the students. My child dreaded going to this school and cried on the way to school almost every day. I don't even think the school uses real Montessori teaching methods. We have found a new school, which my child is now enjoying and loves to go.
