This concerns the building previously used as Mosque 74 at Indianapolis, at 30th and Guilford.
Brother Nuri has moved onto a new facility on 38th, and it's nice, but the old decrepit building on 30th street is being rented out to a friend of Brother Nuri, and he is taking advantage of her.
The water lines are unacceptable to the water department, and they refuse to turn on the water.
For the last eight months, there has been a continuous parade of men walking to the rear of the building to urinate in the alley, in plain view of my front porch.
I have no idea what her business is, or isn't.
My irritation is the constant parade of young men pissing in the alley.
I would appreciate any effort your fine organization will expend to quickly repair the water lines, to allow the toilets to be flushed, and to (hopefully) keep me from watching men urinate against a wall. The tenant's young son is also obligated to pee in the alley.
In all honesty, the building needs to be demolished. I suggest your organization engage an engineer to inspect the property. There is severe structural decay, to the point where demolition and (perhaps) erection of a new structure would be cost-effective.
I doubt any of the building's systems conform to the building codes.
I hear that the financial obligations of that building are tangled and involve personal loans to Brother Nuri himself.
I understand that demolition is an admission the building was a poor investment, and had to be 'written off'.
Sometimes, we need to stop denying a mistake and deal with it properly.
