ON JOHN R. DUREE, JR: I have always maintained the legal profession, inclusive of Judges, prosecutors, lawyers, allied occupations, as watchdog for potential excesses against the people, and the "good" defense attorney as the "claws and fangs" of the monitoring mechanism operating from within the trenches. In my opinion, John fits the role completely.
I've known John professionally since eight years and other quality professionals for much longer to form an objective, informed opinion. John comes from a family of eminent lawyers that have augmented respect for the profession and begotten personal gratitude from a diverse group of clients.
A former Assistant DA, John is a paper-"Certified Specialist" in Criminal Law; but, going a step further, he is a recognized expert in its application where it truly matters: in the trenches, in court! He brings with him varied experience of a high degree of complexity, a competent support staff, demonstrable empathy for the underdog, and an impressive track record. Top this off with the highest degree of personal and professional integrity (and I might add, a thoroughly disarming charisma!), you have the makings of a likable personality and a person one can truly depend upon when the chips are down.
