Would you pay $1400.00 for a service that is $1.00 to fix?
If I could give this place negative stars, I would.
I took my car to the Evergreen Valero Auto Center for oil leaking; they said it was leaking in three places and the whole motor would have to be replaced. The worker said "How much do you really need your car?" He told me the price would be $1400.00 for a new motor. When I declined, he attempted to convince me that my car really needed this repair or else it would break down.
I wanted a second opinion, so I asked my mechanic friend look at it. He said that there was only one area of leaking—near the oil drain plug. He then fixed it with a socket, ratchet, and a $1.00 item from Auto Zone. The whole procedure took about 5 minutes. It not only stopped the leaking that day but the car has not leaked oil in the three weeks since. This facility has horrid business ethics and I am extremely grateful to my friend for his assistance.
