ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.
THEY CHANGED MY OIL AND LEFT MY CAR LEAKING OIL.
I HAD TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP AND PAY 100 DOLLARS TO GET IT FIXED I WENT BACK IN GOOD FAITH THINKING IF I TOLD THEM WHAT HAD HAPPEND THEY WOULDNT DO IT AGAIN BOY WAS I WRONG SHAME ON ME FOR THINKING THEY WOULDNT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE!

BEWARE DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO C ST. FIRESTONE!!!!!

I was traveling to south CA from seattle, my VW Jetta broke down. i was lucky to find a Boris, he was able to find and fix the issue very fast. I got friendly and fast and very knowledgeable service.
Thank you for your help with my Jetta.
It was trully good experience.

Well, In august 2008 I bought Subaru 2003, from Balboa Motors. The very next day I notice that I cant open my trunk with original key, so I went back to them to see why.They told that lock is stuck and that they don t want to deal with this problem!! Hello! I bought this car yesterday!!! Also I bought warranty for the next 3 years , or 36000Miles. Also they promised me to fix anything wrong on the car in that period of time!Just 2 months after that , I notice disturbing noise from the steering system, so I came back to Balboa Motors, cause I have warranty on the car, and Ray ( owner) told me that every car in his dealership is making the same noise like my car. What are you talking about Ray? So, again, no use of my WARRANTY!! And I went to Subaru dealer and fix that , of course not for free!! A month after that turbo pipe got cracked.Balboa Motors refused to fix that to, like it s my fault... Mechanic in Subaru dealer said that car was sold to me with a small crack which after a 3 months got bigger.. Price of the pipe is $363+ taxes, and + labor.So around 600 Dollars!Again,I can t use warranty in BALBOA MOTORS! I never get CAR FAX, I never get spare key!They never mention that this Subaru 2003 has aftermarket parts whole exhaust system was after market.
I really don t recommend this dealership to anyone, they do not check cars before they put it for sale. Subaru Dealer confirm me that there is no way that they checked this car! Just in a 3 months after I purchased this car I had already more than a $1000 to invest in repairs. Really BAD DEALERSHIP, hope that you won t have problems like me. I filed already complains to BBB, and CONSUMERS AFFAIRS CA.. So states agents can invest their business. If you have same issues with car purchased there feel free to contact me:

Had my car there a couple of times. They work very well, and on top of that, they try to keep costs low. they are friendly& trustworthy. I will bring my car there again, although the location (City Heights) is not really convenient for me. The owner's name is Dal, I think the person you will be talking to is his son, he runs the business now.

Kearny Mesa Toyota advertised a specific price on a vehicle in stock, which I was made aware of by the fleet manager. It was advertised for Sunday, but the fleet manager extended the offer to me in writing (by email) while I got a cash down payment and loan approval from my credit union. He also offered to add leather for a written agreed upon price. Within 38 hours, I had the cash downpayment and loan approval. I went to the dealer and accepted the fleet manager's offer. The vehicle was still on the lot and they took me for a test ride. The sales manager told my salesman that the offer I'd been given had expired on Sunday. I explained the written agreement to extend the offer and the leather price. The sales manager said the leather price was incorrect and it would be an additional $198 dollars. I said that wasn't the agreed price, but I'd accept the change. He said he'd have to call the GM about the other agreement. About 20 minutes later the sales manager said the offer would not be honored. He said the fleet manager did not follow protocol and did not get approval to make the offer. He acknowledged that the agreement had been made, because the sales manager checked the fleet manager's email. But, they still would not honor the written agreement. I took a day off work to make this deal and spent 5 hours on the lot with my wife and young child to have them refuse to honor a previously written agreement. They said they could make the deal if I paid an extra $1300 or so dollars. I explained that I felt the actions of their fleet manager was beyond my control, but a written agreement had been made. If nothing else, customer service would dictate their honoring this agreement. They said no and we left. We were stunned at this blatant rescinding of an offer by their fleet manager to a customer. I had purchased a new car from this lot before, and they were aware of that. Your word is who you are, but a written agreement is a contract. This falls within the "bait and switch" parameters, but at the very least, it was outrageous customer service. We remained shocked the whole 50 minute drive home and wondered how a dealership could treat customers in such a fashion. My biggest mistake was not researching in more detail the ratings of this dealership. There are poor ratings all over the internet.
