The first thing that you need to know is something about ME. I am the WORST customer on earth. As soon as I walk into an automobile mechanic's shop I am angry because I KNOW I'll be ripped off. It has happened too many times.
FM Auto Service, a premium quality auto repair shop owned and operated by Charlotte's Kevin Pak, provides quality automobile service at a competitive rate. He has serviced all of my cars for AT LEAST the past twelve years. (I can't tell you exactly how long he has been servicing my automobiles because since I discovered FM Auto Service, getting my car fixed is not the headache it used to be).
Why?
Once, I brought my automobile to the dealership for what I believed to be a major repair. The dealership quoted me a lot more than I could pay. Since FM Auto Service was just down the street from my house, I took my car to FM Auto and left it with Kevin and told him what the dealership had quoted me. Two hours later, he called me and told me that my car was ready.
"It was just a loose screw and a corroded wire, not an $800.00 repair." In truth, I don't remember what he charged me for that.
A couple of months later, the same automobile developed an unrelated problem. I took it back to the dealership and was given another outrageous $750.00 major repair estimate. I drove it back to FM Auto for a second opinion. The grand total? $49.00. He could have taken unfair advantage of me but he didn't.
It has been like this since FM Auto Service began servicing my automobiles, some of which are now pushing or have already past the 200,000 mile mark. Most of the work which FM Auto Service has performed on my automobiles has been maintenance work, but Kevin Pak or one of his savvy mechanics has done some much-needed overhauls as well. FM's prices have been competitive.
What's better is that when I bring one of my cars in for work, I don't have to bring it back again and again and again. One trip. One price. No Nonsense. The work has been done. NO BS.
