We bought our son who was in Basic Training at Fort Jackson a cell phone so he could stay in touch with us. We bougth the phone from the mall at the Fort Jackson PX. Upon graduating AIT he learned he was being sent to South Korea. He contacted Cingular and was told no problem he wouldn't be charged the termination fee because he was going overseas. Several months later we received a letter from a collection agency stating we were in collections for a debt of $300. from a company called Carolina Cellular, we thought this was part of Cingular. Our questions was why were we not notified of this before it went to collections. We had no idea that we were obligated to another company. I will never in the future buy from this company and I have warned my friends also.
