I had my first tattoo done by Bill Goldbach at Inka Dinka Doo. After four sittings I have an amazing piece of art on my upper right arm that I'm proud to be able to call my own. All the guys were nice, friendly, chatty and made for a wonderful vibe at the shop. All these things are really important to me as a woman getting a first tattoo, especially with nobody accompanying me to hold my hand. Bill made sure to explain the whole process, including chances of dizziness etc. He made sure to go slow at first and to keep up with telling me what he was doing and why. He was happy to answer my curious 'what' and 'why' questions. He made sure that I was clear about my aftercare and sent me home with all the knowledge I'd need to heal well and that I knew that he was available between sittings if I had any questions or concerns. I had no issues with healing and had zero issues or complications. I felt at home, welcome and unrushed at the shop and really had an incredible first tattoo experience. I already know what I want next and will definitely get it done at IDD by Bill!

Its unfortunate that people are disappointed with Jasin, and I apologize for his rudeness, lack of professionalism and/or his disregards to preparedness. This isn't a good way to do business. As the business owner, I don't like seeing these reviews about my employees,. These reviews are direct reflection on my reputation personally, and as a high end studio, It doesn't sit well with myself. Jasin has since left our crew and gone over to a production shop in South Side which will best suit his style and demeanor ,so he no longer represents Inkadinkadoo in any way shape or form.

We run a tight nit shop where we treat our clients as family, and bend over backwards to resolve any issues in a professional way. We are not a production based ,money focused studio. Therefore our problem has since been removed from our studio.

Again, I apologize for any misrepresentation of our studio by a lack luster employee.

so you all know (this is Cantu) angry moon is now closed. there were many issues with our business operations that led to this closure, but i am here to set the record straight. joey (A&E intervention show) had problems he didn't share with us and we were as shocked and disgusted as anyone to find out how he was acting. no one else at our shop was doing dope.

to address the complaints below i'll say this: there were many factors that led to your less-than-stellar service. our company had many internal issues that ultimately led to its downfall and it really is a shame. certainly, i apologize for any inconvenience i may have caused anyone in our process but truthfully the majority of our clients rave about our quality and service. you can't win every consumer's heart and sometimes, honestly, the public just sucks.

a few of the angry moon employees are now working down the street at 'flying monkey tattoo'. NONE of us are junkies or crackheads and we continue to make happy clients every day. if you would like to contact us, feel free to call the shop at 412-904-2165.

once again, my name is Cantu. feel free to call if you have any further questions.

Eh, I'm usually pretty flexible with things and how artists act.

Going in, I spoke with Cantu and had a similar problem like someone else has mentioned. Cantu was advertising to barter for work, instead of money. We agreed on something, and he had told me he would DO the work I asked for, for what I was trading in. Everything went smooth from meeting, to talking, to negotiating, and to planning when to come back and get it done.

He did half the drawing, which took 5 hours and some change. I understand where he was doing it (hips/ribs) takes some time, but 5 hours? I don't know. He said he had to stop, and for me to come back in a few weeks to finish it.

2 Weeks went by, I emailed him again to thank him for his work and that it looked good. He did a nice job, besides not finishing it. So I emailed him to clarify that the next appointment was still along the lines of what we agreed on (the barter would cover it). No answer.

Called back a couple times the next week, nothing. Went IN to the shop and talked to the other artists, only to be told "he's been busy". I was confused as to why he couldn't just take 2 minutes and tell me that himself.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I emailed him again, apologized if I was nagging, and said if the barter was going to cover everything, and that bothered him, then I understand. But if he wants me to pay, then just say so, name me a price. No answer.

Finally I emailed him a third time, he responded. Saying he would like cash, named a price... kept it short.

But this time, I watched an episode of A&E's "Intervention", a show where a crew films a mini documentary on a drug addict, or some one with a specific disorder.. this weeks episode, a heroin addict who works at Angry Moon.

I don't CARE if he got clean, or I missed something, that said enough. The words "addict" and "tattoo artist" should not be mentioned in the same sentence. So that was enough for me, I can go elsewhere and finish it.

So, all in wall... extremely poor communication, too long of a session, and.. I don't know. The place is closed down anyway.

I don't set the bar very high for professionalism at tattoo places, but Angry Moon doesn't even come close. I went in there to talk to someone about a half sleeve, and ended up talking with Cantu for awhile about some ideas. Cantu didn't have a portfolio because he had "lost" it, which should have been a huge red flag. I commissioned a drawing for $20. It would take about a week. He said that he could scan and email it to me. If I liked it, he would put the commission toward my tattoo. Great idea, right?

...Except that this guy is impossible to reach. Over the course of six weeks I emailed and called the number on his card about half a dozen times, with zero response. Finally he emailed me to say that it was ready and that I should stop by to see it.

So I stopped by. He said that he didn't have the drawing with him, and I would have to make an appointment to come see it. When I asked if he could scan and email it, or just mail it to me, he said he wouldn't because he was afraid that I would go somewhere else to get the tattoo. I pointed out that I had commissioned the drawing and felt like I was entitled to get the result without jumping through hoops, but he disagreed. He also refused to leave it at the shop in case he was out next time I stopped. What a prima donna! So we made tentative plans to get together in the next couple of days. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it.

Since then, I've emailed him another four times, but haven't gotten any response. I love that I have to make an appointment so see the drawing that I commissioned, and that they make it near impossible to get the appointment. I wonder if he even bothered to draw the damn thing. Needless to say, I didn't get my half sleeve there. Maybe these guys are good for walk-in keystone tattoos, but I don't recommend trying to schedule anything serious with them.

I got my first big piece done by Tony, this was like 11 years ago. It still looks awesome. Later he did my right arm sleeve, the colors are still vibrant to this day. Very cool vibe, laid back, professional, clean. I have alot of great memories because of my time spent in the chair there. I can't say that about all the places I've been. If I didn't live on the West Coast now, I would definitely still be going there.

I had one good tattoo there- despite this nut who kept trying to distract the tattoo artist.
I tried to go back but they've moved at least twice since then.
When I try to call, I get a full mailbox, when I found the place and went there in person, they said I had to make an appointment. When I pointed out that the phone didn't answer and I couldn't leave a messge, he laughed and said, oh yeah, nobody ever checks the messages. So when would be a good time to call? Between 12 and 2 he says. Maybe.
So, I finally succeed in making an appointment, and the guy never shows! The guy manning the counter says he doesn't know how to get in touch with him, and doesn't know when he will be in.
One good tattoo, but every other dealing I have had with this organization has been unprofessional.
