Greenbriar Sucks.
Their sole purpose is to fill client's heads with false hope and submit insurance payment claims.
Their own staff even admits they only have about a 5-10% success rate. I'd call that generous. (Personally, I'd like to find a job where a 95% FAILURE rate is considered acceptable.)
I've seen a family member in their facility 3 times over an extended period, and each time the family tried to get information we were always blown off with the "these things take time" excuse. Nothing more. No real answers. Ever.
Treatment amounts to little more than group therapy, and almost no one-on-one counseling. Addiction and depression are both recognized as "diseases", yet there is practically no real MEDICAL treatment available at Greenbriar.
When our family questioned their lack of individual counseling, we were told that "counseling wouldn't help in this case, as ___'s depression was a result of a "chemical imbalance" and all they needed was pills. When questioned further, they were unable to tell us how they reached this diagnosis. A reasonable question we thought, after all, we were under the impression for YEARS that ___'s depression was a psychological issue, not a physical or biological one. Surely there must have been some tests performed to reach this conclusion, wouldn't you think? Nope. When questioned further, the "therapist" just became annoyed and basically gave us a "how dare you question MY expertise" attitude. We never did get a satisfactory answer.
After a couple of decades, and multiple, court ordered rehab stints, we want to hear more than "these things take time" and "never mind how we arrived at that conclusion".
Rating: I only gave them a "1" rating because a "0" wasn"t allowed.
