I have been taking my dogs to Holiday park animal hospital for years. But couple of weeks back, i went there in emergency. In the emergency situation the new doctor gave a very detailed examination and explained every detail of my pets situation. Finally after hours of monitoring my dog was out of critical situation and his life was saved. I think the appointment of new Dr J.J has changed the face of the practice.

He is very thorough and patient with me and my dog. I really recommend Dr J.J to all.

Just left my Lab Mix and my Persian cat at The Golden Bone in early July 09. From the beginning, I had a very comfortable and pleasant experience. When I called to inquire about availability, the manager I spoke to was very kind and answered every question that I had. I did have to put a deposit down for their "busy time" and that was understandable. (It was a nice pre-vacation down payment, actually.) I did want to know about staff to pet ratio which is very important to me....it is 1 employee for every 15-20 pets! Plus, the major selling point to me was that one manager has been there 20 out of the 21 years and the other manager has been there about 14 out of 21 years.

When I came in for a tour, because I had both a cat and a dog, I inspected the entire facility and was quite impressed. The air condition is an absolute must for my pets! It was cooler at the Golden Bone than in my own home!

After reading the other reviews, I must say that it makes sense to see concrete runs for hygiene purposes. Do you have any idea how disgusting and parasite laden grassy areas can become??? That is why so many dogs get sick from the dog parks!!!!!!

On my drop off date, I was impressed at their thorough and efficient check in procedure. It is obvious that they have been doing this for a long time.

When I picked up my pets, I met the owner and I was so happy that I asked for the grooming of both my pets. It was like a one stop shopping trip and my Lab Mix was happy and wagging his tail when I greeted him. It is rare nowadays that you get to meet the owner of any business and I couldn't believe that he held the door for me upon my exit.

I highly recommend the Golden Bone Pet Resort.

Expensive, inside looks like a prison, poor hours, customer service is horrendous.
Examples:
- "Deluxe" room rates (the cheaper of the two types) are $23 for under 35 lbs for a concrete cube reminiscent of shelters.
- Concrete 'walking area' indoors
- 9-5 on weekdays only, never open on weekends and charge $40 plus an extra day's stay to pick up on the weekend, don't even have an answering machine for when they're closed so if something happens and you need to change plans while you're away for the weekend, good luck!
- I've had several bad interactions with the owner, totally inflexible, lectures dog owners, generally rude.

This place is known in the veterinary world as the worst place to take your pet. Dr Chaudry performs procedures that he has no clue how to do. A few years ago he went in to fix a ccl(torn cruciate ligament) in a lab and ended up breaking its hip. Instead of owning up to his mistake he tried passing it off on the owners then blamed them when it wasn't healing properly. And worst off he lost his licence over 6 months ago and still continues to practice. Bet he doesn't tell his clients that. Don't take your pets there if you don't wanna have to pay some other doctor to fix his mistakes!!! I have heard and seen so many horror stories from his place. Please pass this on to anyone you know may want to go there because its cheaper.

The office looks like a hole in the wall but the vet was great. Informative, good with my wild cats, and gave the best examination to my cat that I seen in a long time.

I took a 3 year old black lab in for a yearly checkup and shots, and thought I'd have his nails trimmed while I was there. After the shots, a "tech" came in to trim his nails. Being a large dog, he sat on the floor with his right rear leg tucked under him while this was going on. I asked the tech is we could help stand him or roll him over, she said no, even though he clearly wasn't enjoying it, he struggled throughout. After trimming the legs she could reach easily, she then proceeded to grab his right leg out from under him and yanked it up in the opposite direction to trim. The next day, he came up lame.
Another trip to the same vet and I was told he had a torn ACL, and without $2-3000 surgery, there was little hope for him. During the second trip, he cried and carried on in the waiting room while we waited, something he'd never done before, maybe he was trying to tell us something.
Anyway, I went back a few days later to ask the vet about the possibility that the injury had occurred that day.
Immediately and without hesitation, I was barked at, and told that I could "shop that around all you want" and that I would not be successful. Huh? I hadn't even finished explaining my concerns when that came out. He then went on to explain that there was "no way" it could have happened during an office visit. That alone sounded suspicious, I mean, how can anyone be that sure, without even hearing me out?
All I was looking for was a little sympathy and compassion, and to make sure the staff was made aware of it, just in case it did happen there, a very real possibility. I wasn't there to make accusations or threaten legal action, but that was clearly on their minds. It was obvious at that point that they'd been down that road before...
At this point, it's a real possibility that I may have to put a three year old lab down because of this injury.
Beware.

The office is not glamorous, but don't let that fool you! They extended the life of my precious toy poodle by 5+ years by diagnosing her with congestive heart failure and prescribing medication when a previous veterinarian suggested the possibility of putting her down. Shes been a new dog ever since, running and snooping around the yard with our other poodle. Shes still playfully barking to try to win our hearts over and give her treats!

Oh, never mind...I thought it was Golden Boner.  Then I realized comments weren't about awards to pharmaceutical companies making ED products.
