Morimoto’s boasts a medley of Hawaiian and Japanese cultural decorum, all while maintaining a strictly Japanese menu. There is a low to medium ambient noise, depending on the number of patrons within. With splendid ambience and an option to dine al fresco, Morimoto’s will do well for a gathering of friends, a family night out or a romantic dinner with your significant other.
The staff shows exceptional pleasantries rarely seen in a prominent tourist area. With prompt and friendly service, the wait for food, drink, the bill, etc. is negligible.
A few local ingredients are blended effectively into the Japanese pallet. The food itself maintains the curb appeal of your traditional sushi and sashimi with a few surprise selections. If sushi/sashimi is not your cup of tea, steak and salads with a touch of Morimoto are available. Care to warm your soul? Morimoto’s Udon noodle soup will fit the bill.
In order to get a feel for what is in store, Morimoto’s Sashimi appetizer will offer you a taste to be tried. The display is Hawaiian-esque with a Japanese kick. With 5 delicious sauce varieties and 6 meaty morsels of layered fish, it packs a superb taste of Morimoto.
The barbequed eel and soft shell crab tempura maki were as to be expected; nothing over presumptuous or overburdening. In keeping with the highest traditions of Japanese sushi cuisine, Morimoto’s performs effortlessly in style and class.
The desert menu is a menagerie of chocolate, caramel and compatible fruit flavors. The Chocolate Mille Feuillet, coming highly recommended, is as visually satisfying as it is delectable. Indulgent chocolate ice cream, raspberry glazed bananas, fudge sponge cake and luscious chocolate mousse is evenly balanced with an avocado plate sauce.
With a fully stocked wet bar to quench your thirst, I promise you will leave satisfied. It is a beautifully modern restaurant, for a beautifully modern hotel. An essential stop if visiting the Waikiki area.

Best pizza, excellent fresh salads, extra buttery garlic bread, and pasta-- the spaghetti with meatballs are very popular!! Family buisiness, owed by 2 brothers, #1 brother, a computer whiz kid, handles the finances. Brother #2, enjoys people and cooking, with a passion to delight the senses, creating new dishes, serving guests free appetizers, many a night simply enjoying conversing with his patrons. Everything is made fresh with alot of love. Patrons are allowed to bring there own wine or beer. Beverages offered: Soft drinks, Juices, Milk, Hot Chocolate, a Variety of Coffee Specialty Drinks, Gatorade and Bottled Water. Different deserts are offered, newly created and the favorites you just keep coming back for!! It's alittle hole in the wall, however with food this delicious, gracious people at your service, an ambience materializes..........you know you'll be back, your addicted!! Reasonably priced too!! P.S. I did work for Emilio's Pizza back in1983 and my boyfriend was brother #2.

Been trying to visit all the eateries and stores in my new neighborhood. Staff was friendly for lunch and people there just seemed to visit there weekly. Staff and patrons said hello to each other by name. I hope to make this a regularly visited place after a while.
Food was good and prices fair.

I was not pleased with the service and lack of helpful staff. Being rather new to Indian cuisine, I was hoping to get a funny or at least friendly wait person who can help me pick a few dishes and make it a memorable experience for me. Instead I was ridiculed and made fun of, and even suggested by the cook that I go try another cuisine that I was more knowledgeable with. Boy this restaurant made me feel so stupid and I have since just told my friends how awful this place was. I wrote a letter to the owner and explained of my bad experience and since then, have not received a letter, email or any feed back.

Food Pantry also owns foodland...the lady in recruiting has some serious racial issues. Food Pantry does not give raises to their checkers unless the store makes their goal. They cook their chickens about 4 feet from the public toilet and they do not clean the oven EVER.. it smells like death back there. Everyone is paying about 200 to 300% mark ups, and they think it's so funny that people don't relize that they can go up the street and get it for half the price.

tcby hasn't lost it's touch! i am like the biggest tcby fan! i love white chocolate mousse!!! okay, so i've tried all the fads and trends and nothing comes close to the old school flavor that i grew up with at tcby. i go in at least once a week for my fill of white chocolate mousse and cookie dough topping.

lately i've noticed that everyone is raving about the new places, but i've been there and tried it, what's so great about them? tcby offers 8 soft serve flavors (at least one of which is no sugar added and one that is nondairy fatfree), 8 handscooped flavors (that really do taste like ice cream because the toppings are real), fruit smoothies, and coffee flavored items. in addition, the nuuanu location also shares a counter with the only mrs.fields location left on the island...talk about being able to be healthy and also being able to feed my sweet tooth!

the current staff is friendly and efficient and their boss always has a smile on his face! i love watching them interact with the young kids in our neighborhood. the kid's faces light up when they sample the cotton candy or the colorful vanilla flavored rainbow cream. only at tcby are they really trying to bring back that feel good family feeling. stop by and check out their monthly specials. the original frozen yogurt is thriving and better than ever!

We got food poisoning here! Not (or anywhere near) the cleanest. We had dried food on our fork, was given a cracked plate, the tables and menus were sticky. One waitress wiped her nose with her hand, didn't wash it and continued to serve food. I've also seen various waitresses cough and sneeze on their hands and just keep on serving.

I love the food here! When my group of friends can't decide where to eat, we always end up here. The endless garlic rolls are awesome. This is one of the places where you can order anything, and you can't go wrong.
