joe harvell the mngr. at the store is very rude and under educated, I took my car in and after waiting 2 hours I was told that his mechanics were unable to fix my car. they then billed me 75.00 for checking out my car as to why my wipers would not come on. I then went to Gossette motors, 30 min. later they replaced my wiper motor and told me there was a short in the motor cost me 135.00 to get fixed. they could not understand why gateway could not fix it that it was a rather simple problem to diagnose. I was also told that they should never have billed me for a problem they could not fix, gateway is a second rate goodyear with underskilled mechanics. i would have been better off using the local shade tree, probably would saved some money and could have delt with the same incompidence, and not had to listen to the ebonic rants of mr. harvell

For all of you getting ready to purchase a car, DO NOT purchase from Hillstop Motors. They are total rip offs. We bought a car and one week later, it was in the stop. Bottom line, it needed a new engine. Please don't purchase from them unless you want a lemon. KLG

Unprofessional , Aggressive, and Physical AVOID Mr. Quick Tune


On July 03, 2008, My co-worker and I stopped at Mr. Quick Tune to add the business to our data-base for Contamination Source Inventory, an annual report for the city of Memphis through the University of Memphis . This report consists of businesses and government buildings that have HAZMAT or large quantities of possible contaminations, which are located near known wells. All that is required of the business is a GPS location (which is done on-site by us), an address, and a phone number. There are no fines or anything of that sort associated with this project, it is a simple report for the city of Memphis to ensure the safety of our drinking water.

When my co-worker walked inside to inform the owner (Phil) who we are and what we were doing. He instantly became hostile. When I came to assist my co-worker, I asked what the problem was and he began to act very ugly towards me. I simply told him all we need is your number and we will be on our way. He replied, He didnt give a F**k who we were or what we were doing. During this my co-worker had walked over and gotten a business card and went ahead in the truck. The owner (Phil) then proceeded to force himself into our work truck opening the door and grasping my co-worker. I then quickly forced him out of the truck and told him I was calling the police. After a good minute of him cursing and yelling in my face, he finally backed off and we were able to leave.

This man has no respect or any type of decency; personally I would recommend everyone to avoid this man at all costs. Not only is he very disrespecting, but is also hostile and seems to lose his temper very quickly and becomes physical.

Well what had happened is I got hit from behind at a complete stop, the guy didn't even put on his brakes.  I have a late model Honda accord.  The estimate came out to a little over four thousand dollars.  I was going to take it to the Honda dealer but since my car was already at Blackie's, I decided to let it stay there.  I am very satisfied with the work that was done, and the people that worked there were nice.  It took a little longer than I would have liked, but overall I was very happy with the work.

Beware of this Company. Sold me alarm system inferior to what was ordered and agreed to. Overall huge waste of time and very unpleasant experience. Will not buy here again.

I WAS NOT PLEASE WITH SERVICE PERSON (SHAMON) WHEN I CAME ON
DECEMBER 19,2006 @16:00 PM AT THIS LOCATION. FIRST OF ALL, HE ATTEMPTED TO CHANGE THE TELEVISON SET WITH ASKING CUSTOMERS IF THEY WERE WATCHING THE TELEVISON PROGRAM. NEXT, HE BROUGHT OUT THE INFORMATION ON MY CAR NEEDING TO TIRES AND ASKED IF I NEED TO SEE THEM. I ASKED HIM ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE ETIQUETTE AND HAVE HE HAD ANY TRAINING CLASSES. HE STATED, NO BUT I ATTENDED COLLEGE CLASSES SO I
KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE. MEANWHILE, WE CONTINUED TO WALK IN THE SHOP AREA AND HE STATED I AM WORKING ON MY MASTER IN BUSINESS ADMINSTRATION. LATER, HE WALKED OFF IN THE RETAIL AREA WITHOUT LISTENING TO ANY OF MY CONCERNS. I LEFT THE SHOP AREA AND WAITED FOR HIM BUT HE LEFT ME STANDING AT THE COUNTER. I PICKED UP MY KEYS TO MY CAR AND LEFT THIS SHOP. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR GATEWAY FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE NOT BEEN TREATED DISRESPECTFUL LIKE THIS BEFORE. I WILL NOT ATTEND THIS SHOP AGAIN AND I AM REQUESTING FOR MR. SHAMON TO ATTEND SOME CLASSES ON DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC. I KNOW HE KNOWS BETTER BUT MAYBE I HAD COME TO THE SHOP SO LATE AND HE WAS READY TO CLOSE. I WAS NEEDING HELP WITH PURCHASING SOME TIRES BUT I SEE MY BUSINESS WAS NOT NEEDED. THANKS FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS MY CONCERNS.
