The customer service is horrible. They failed to return phone calls. They did not show for a scheduled appointment, are slow to return phone calls, and no one takes responsibility for their errors. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am a huge advocate of buying from local businesses, I always have been and always will be but this store is bad for local businesses. The selling point of buying from a local store is customer service, chain stores will almost always have better deals and a much larger range of displays, but for me, knowing that the person I'm buying from will answer any question I have and help me even after the purchase is why I always buy from local stores. I was the only customer in the store and told the salesman I planned on buying a TV in the next few weeks and had a couple question, he literally told me, "I am not in the business of answering questions, when you are ready to buy a TV come back and we'll talk". I was dumbfounded and told the guy, I understand if he has a store full of customers or his phone was ringing off the hook, but literally I was the only person in the store and he was sitting in a chair watching TV! I told him its that kind of attitude that keeps his store empty! He told me come back in a few weeks when Im ready to buy and he'll talk to me. I said no thanks, I'll go to Giant TV or Berclair, he replied, those guys "dont know their a** from a hole in the ground"....I said well I'll leave you with all of your customers and left. He had me so mad, it was a good thing I was on the other side of the room or I might would have crossed the line with that idiot!

Moral of the story: Buy from local stores, Berclair, Giant, any others....but never ever step foot inside Dilday, they are horrible!!


BTW, there is more to this exchange, it went on for 15 minutes probably and it occured at the Hwy 64 store, Im guessing the salesman drives a blue Nissan because thats the only car that was in the parking lot, if you ever deal with this idiot...do yourself a favor and just leave, he's no salesman and has no business running a local store!

Mr. Gillis was the best price I could find in the Memphis area to do in-home big screen TV repair. I called every Memphis area mobile TV repair place I could find a listing for. On our initial phone conversation, he knew exactly what the problem was and quoted me $225 cash to fix it. No tax on cash payment, tax added for check payment, and he doesn't take credit cards. He said on the phone that he knew what part it needed and that he had plenty of them on his truck. He was out two days later, the day before Thanksgiving. He quickly got the TV apart, pulled out the bad chipset and then realized that he did not have the correct part. He didn't really have an explanation as to why two days prior he "had plenty of them on the truck". He said he would have to order the part and would call me in a couple days when it came in. A week to ten days went by and I never heard from him. After several phone calls that went unanswered, I finally got a hold of him and he said the part was coming in the next day and he would call me then to set up a time. Another week to week and a half went by and again several unanswered phone calls. When I reached him this time, he said the part was on backorder and would be in his hands in a couple days. He again said he would call me when he got it in. Another nine days went by with no contact from him. I finally got ahold of him on 12-19. He said, "Yeah, the part came in, when do you want me to come out?" We settled on 12-22. He showed up on time, quickly put the part in and the TV was fixed. He then proceeded to tell me I owed him $250. When asked why, he said, "Because of the extra time I had to put into finding your part." Frustrated enough, I paid him $250. Long story short, he is a nice guy who definitely knows what he is doing when it comes to TV's. On the flip side, he has no customer service skills at all. A same day fix took a month and $25 extra. He never once called me, every contact was from me calling him. Use at your own risk.
