My experience with this store was absolutely awful. The service was horrible and their prices were too high. The salesperson I dealt with not only had an attitude, but didn't know what he was talking about. There are much better stores to visit in the New Orleans area.

WONDERFUL!!!! We bought a bedroom set from Halpern's in June 2008 and the quality is unmatched. Friendly staff, amazing value, and we were shocked at how affordable their prices were. A great local business - I highly recommend Halpern's. We will buy more furniture from them in the future.

Juliet's is a great store! I have purchased several items throughout the years and their service is great. It is defintly a must see if you want to shop or just look around for ideas. I do not feel uncomfortable looking. If i need assistance there is someone to help but if i want to browse it does not feel stuffy. I love Juliet's you should check it out on Magazine Street.

I had a great experience at Halpern's. When you go in, you should ask for one of the members of the Halpern's family to help you because they are much nicer than than the employees that work at the St. Charles store. Like you said before, they do have great furniture for cheap and it does last a long time. Since you only spend a certain amount of time there and you get something with lifetime warranty I guess it is worth it.

I had a very unpleasant experience at the St. Charles Halperns location. I won't go into every detail, but I was treated very unfairly by a member of the staff. The furniture is very high-quality, so this review should not reflect on the nature of the good sold; I am simply commenting on the manner in which those high-end goods were being purveyed by very low-end employees with low-end manners.

I suppose the treatment is partly due to the fact that my wife and I are younger than their usual clientele, but for the money I was prepared to spend (the sale was rescinded without my consent) I expect to be treated more equitably.

I paid for a cocktail table, end table, and sofa table on 2-4-06. Took home the end/sofa tables - waited for cocktail table to be ordered. Went to the store at 3 & 5 weeks later, still not in. After no phone call telling me it was in, went on 3/15 (almost 6 weeks after the fact) they told me they had some in, didn't call me because they were too busy, then SOLD them. Meanwhile, they can't say when I'll get my table that has been PAID FOR for 6 weeks now! Will never buy from again!

Perhaps the worst work I have seen. He has no skills. The simple job I gave him has left me with even more work to do just to correct what he has done. He has pitiful sheetrock, carpentry and painting skills. He became offended when confronted with our dissatisfaction. He said he would return to correct the "work," but has yet to return and became more agitated at repeated requests for service.
