Do not buy R-Mpaint supplies from these folks unless you want to suffer the same fate I have (along with my painter whom they have treated poorly)
Sioux Plating knowingly sold incorrect product, changed instructions sheets to hide that fact and refuse to even talk about the problems, refusing to respond to letters from a lawyer. They claimed it was "painter error" and "incorrect equipment" while the R-M rep states it's a known issue with those materials. Further, Sioux Plating said to simply scuff and recoat the car (this is a show car, folks!). R-M said NO WAY! The paint will never harden and that would make it impossible to ever do spot repairs.
The numbers were superceded and instruction sheets published with the new correct numbers. Sioux Plating removed the correct numbers and wrote the old incorrect numbers back in on these sheets.
I'd be concerned about buying ANYTHING from them hearing how they treat people and lie about it.
We've got the proof and stand behind our claims.
Painters need to be very concerned about using R-M paints and in particular, buying from Sioux Plating.
We've had to strip the car by hand and it will never be the same now due to the blasting and scraping required to remove the defective product. We are at this point not being reembursed for the re-do and have seen nothing. I will probably eat it to the tune of a couple grand, at least until or unless we can find remedy in the courts - which is the next step. When I'm finished they will wish they would have settled on paying to have it redone........... http://www.amcforums.com/cgi/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1171 911127 and http://www.amcforums.com/cgi/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1149 910580/60
