There is a Spanish service offered on Sunday afternoon and also free ESL classes for people who want to learn English, which was pretty interesting due to the fact that the Latin or Hispanic population in Waukee is very low 0.7%. We had the chance to attend both services the English and Spanish one, but unfortunately the service offered for the Latin or Hispanic community is very very disorganized to the contrary of the English morning service. I won't recommend to any Spanish speaker person to attend Waukee Baptist Church Spanish Service for two main resons. First if you have children and want them to attend the sunday school while parents are attending the main service, the person in charge of the sunday school will not be responsable for anything that may happen to your children. This includes children fighting in the playground located on the childcare center next to the church without the supervision of a responsible adult. Children from 7 months old to teenagers are in the same sunday school class, which means that there is no differentiation in the activities and obviously the teacher is going to be more focused on babysitting that really tailoring the children spiritual needs.
Second reason and I think the most important, is because as a church member you cannot express your feelings of unhappiness about how the problems in the Spanish services had being handle, because the pastor and his wife can come right to your house with a bad attitude to "straight out" or "clarify some points" in a very disrespectful way. To end with all the drama and provide one more reason for not to attend the Waukee Baptist Church Spanish Service, is the fact that the pastor himself admitted that whatever happened to the people after his service is not his bussiness, so in that Spanish service they are not responsable for children and after the service they won't provide any guidance as well. So there is no point of attending a place that will not going to help you build and coach your spiritual life, because it seems that over there they are just worry about filling up numbers of people who attend the church
