My advice to anyone who is considering using this company is to check out their rating at the BBB website. They have an "F" rating with 21 complaints against them.
I would never use this company again. I am still dealing with a leaking flat roof two years after SPEARS applied a Mule Hide coating. After contacting the manufacturers myself, they told me their product was not designed to do what SPEARS guaranteed me it would do! They made several attempts to "patch" the problem by slopping tar on it, and then just started ignoring my calls and emails.
I have filed complaints with the Louisiana Board of Contractors (SPEARS does not possess a contractors license), The BBB, (SPEARS is not a member and would not respond to the complaint) and the Attorney Generals Office (SPEARS either could not be contacted or would not respond) so I am left out $6000 and now have to pay a real roofing company to fix the problem!

Summary: Paid a lot of money for the plumber to not fix what he was suppose to fix. Instead, he charged us for work we did not ask for. When confronting office staff about the problem, they would not return phone calls. Totally unsatisfied with the service performed, and I would recommend you find another plumber.

I was unable to attend when the plumber came out to fix a leak under a sink in our business, so an associate handled everything in my place. The plumber charged ~$350 to install a p-trap and about 1-2ft of PVC pipe to the drain in the building (which is right behind the sink he was suppose to be fixing). When explaining the work that needed to be done to me over the phone, it sounded like a lot. When I actually saw the work done (it took 1 hour for him), it amounted to nothing more than disconnecting the pipe from under the sink and adding a new one. Despite the work, the leak was still not fixed. The plumber said we needed a new sink because of a crack in the ceramic base. He said if I bought the sink, he would change it out for $180. After changing the sink out myself, no crack could be found in the ceramic. So, I paid $350 for him to not fix anything and do work no one asked him to do. When contacting the company to dispute charges, they informed me they would call back when they found the information to my case. They never called. I called again on the same day, and I received the same response with no call back. I called again on the next day and a representative named Tina said that because the charges were listed and someone signed off on it, there was nothing I can do. Overall, one complaint is paying for work that was not done and paying for work that was not asked for. If a supposed expert cannot tell what is wrong, it should be admitted at the beginning before any kind of work is to be done. Basic business practice. My other complaint is the office staff not taking care of the customer in an acceptable manner. If you say you will call, then you should call in a timely manner.
The only "good thing" that came from this is that the plumber showed up when they said they would show up. I guess getting a "free" drain he valued at $187 (regular drain mind you, nothing special like bronzed or brushed nickel) would almost make want to give this company a 2 star rating. Almost. That is until I look at Home Depot and see that charging $187 for a normal bathroom drain is outrageously expensive.

This contractor was very professional and courteous. The work was completed in record time and had a beautiful finish on the concrete.

I found Mr. Fussell to be misleading in his meetings with me prior to building our home. He sold us on a home only to find out the allowances he gave us were at best suitable for a single wide! He was asked countless times to meet us on the job and if he did show up on time he talked on his cell phone the entire time. Talk about rude. He never wrote anything down or followed up with our questions. He never was anywhere to be found...especially on the job site. I would never, repeat never build with him again. Buyer beware!!!

They were great for years- did all our work at home and my place of business, suddenly it has taken two months to get an appointment for a repair and service call.
The guys are knowledgeable- if their dispatcher can remember to make the appointment. After a 20 year relationship, I'm disappointed.

Charles was referred to me by a friend. He was a stranger when we hired him and now we consider him a great friend. This was our 4th home to build and he is by far the best!!!!! He was on the site each day as if he were building for himself. We would recommend Charles Viola again and again and again!!! Ben and Nicole Mcdonald

Excellent in every way. We have been their customers for thirty years. I cannot say enough good things about them...professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The technicians, the office staff and the owner couldn't be improved upon. I highly recommend this outstanding company.

This guy's incredibly petty and will argue with you on any thing he can. He's the kind of dude that would freak out and write a note if someone parked close to his grass but not on it. Don't do business with Danny, it's not worth it.
