Careers in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration are obviously useful and prevalent in a state that holds average temperatures of at least 70 degrees year-round. Arizona career training schools provide programs that will lead you to a successful career in the HVAC area. This education prepares you for positions as high as vice president of maintenance to owners of air conditioning and refrigeration corporations.

Your interest in this field, however, may go beyond that of the opportunities open to a graduate of an HVAC program. In this case, an Arizona mechanical maintenance program may be appropriate for you. At an accredited mechanical maintenance school, you will not only get all the education needed to fill the positions open for HVAC graduates; you will also be prepared to provide maintenance and service to large, complex systems.

After completing a mechanical maintenance program, you will be eligible for industrial and institutional maintenance engineering positions, industrial refrigeration service and more. Education in this area gives you even more opportunity than the already plush amounts of opportunity in an HVAC career.

Mechanical maintenance courses within the program will cover everything you need to know to be successful from day one of your career. Courses will have a hands-on approach while informing you on everything from pneumatics to motors to computer applications. An education at a mechanical maintenance college will leave you feeling confident and prepared when it comes time to search for your first job. This confidence will reflect well on you to potential employers and peers, giving you the upper hand.

Deciding what you want to do for the rest of your life is overwhelming. If you consider all your options, however, you can be certain with whatever you decide. Whether you have no idea what you want to do with your future or you already know that you have an interest in an HVAC career, a mechanical maintenance career in Arizona may be just what you need.

As soon as you open the GLS Educational Supplies Catalogue you are confronted with the words "We pride ourselves on the professional and personal service we offer our customers". Unfortunately, as soon as I wanted to complain about the late delivery of an item there was not an iota of customer service to be had.

In fact, I have been met with silence. Except from their finance department who are chasing me over an unpaid bill for an item that took them seven weeks to deliver. When I called up and spoke to a member of their sales team I was given a "case number" and told I would be contacted "soon". I wasn't. I have had to contact them repeatedly and have been continually fobbed off. In fact, in order to get my item delivered I had to contact the courier company that they use. That's when I found out that the original item had been lost in a depot. No one from GLS had bothered to chase the late delivery up.

It's a shame. Usually, I would recommend GLS. Their service to date has been prompt and efficient. The problem is that no one there is accountable for mistakes. It took me a while to coax the name of a sales manager out of the GLS front line staff. I wrote to the named manager last month and still haven't received a reply.

So when it comes to buying from GLS, I'm not saying that you shouldn't do it. Just keep your fingers crossed as you make your order. If things go wrong, no one above call-centre level will be available and no one will prepared to take any responsibility.

I learned Spanish using Pimsleur courses so that I could travel to South America and know what was going on. Initially I just thought I would use it for basic transportation, ordering food, finding a hotel, and giving a taxi driver directions. Then I actually started learning and found that I was able to actually speak and understand Spanish far more than I anticipated.

During my travels I ended up going to the movies, going on walking tours (guided in Spanish!), and getting to know fellow travelers. Learning Spanish was a great decision, and I have Pimsleur to thank for my great vacation.

To wrestle, or to be the governor of a state, what courses would you need to take? Most learning takes place in living your life and paying attention.

Excellent open source LCMS, I used this a great deal to ver 1.63, then the new version (1.8), long-awaited with all sorts of bells, whistles and including web-video conferencing capability required PHP 5 and a flash server (to run video conference).

They now have a hosted (paid) version.

Dokeos is great for education, for groups and for individual training. Easy to set up and easy to customise, and very easy (too easy possibly!) to add material using the in-built ppt conversion.

No built-in e-commerce but learner admin is pretty straightforward, so a separate payment system would be the answer.

If you are already running PHP5 on your server, this is a great choice, if you are not, check your existing set-up - it took me a while to shift other server software before I could run PHP5 to get Dokeos working.

BUT, the need for your own flash server to run the VC, now that's a little privey - hosted may be the only way to go.

Scribe Studio has tons of promise. A flexible platform to out up almost any material, great interactive elements for both one to one and group learning/teaching. Built-in video conferencing is one very good appeal to the platform.

Incredibly easy to set up a lesson, reasonable customisation of the templates and a lot of choice in the way you put material online.

Two things that are a big draw-back for me. Editing the site was horrendously slow. Whether the Internet had a slow period for the month I used it I don't know, but a simple edit (my speeeling!) could take 15 minutes!

Second draw back - price - it's based on user numbers - well, I never know how many people will sign up, so found the limitation on the starter pack too risky, the next plan was just too expensive.

Probably best as an in-company platform.
