The main interest for me here is seeing Irish fans turn out to support Mexico, South Africa and Uruguay when Les Bleus play them.

Interesting team, but possibly not as interesting as post-match interviews with coach Maradona might be.

I am not really concerned about our series. Though it is the only series that hold two champion holder (FR,UY).

Team full of great players (Messi, Aguero, Higuain...) that plays a nasty, ugly soccer. Maradona as a coach is a disaster, but he probably can leverage his experience on different World Cups. Argentina is a solid team that has to be considered a good candidate to win.

First of all I just have to say how proud I am that Chile made it so far :) It's been a while so I am super excited! I guess this group is ok...could have been worse...but I'm still worried about Spain and Switzerland. I can't wait till it all starts!! Viva CHILE!!!!!!

England is one of those teams that get to the quarter /semi finals on spirit and a little class! So I feel this will be much of the same!! As an Englishman I would have to say that although this squad looks good, it is no different from any other world cup squad England has turned out!!! I would have to say this is a promising team but unfortunately I feel we will fall short. Saying that I will still enthusiastically support them to win the WORLD CUP! I will also take a strong interest in the USA team, because I live here and would love for this team to succeed, it would make Soccer/ football that much bigger here if they did do well!!! Good luck to all teams!

Political, territorial, cultural and language issues have fueled this soccer rivalry over the years. All these factors together make the entire country stop while this game is taking place.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have to different ways to understand soccer. While Barcelona focuses on creating players on its players factory (La Masia), Real Madrid hires the best and consolidated players in the world.

(11/29/2009 Game) FC Barcelona 1 - Real Madrid CF 0

Barcelona dominated the game, had the ball for around 70% of the time. They lined up 7 players from the youth team, what made them apply their unique and classy soccer style. However, during the 1st half, Real Madrid had more opportunities to score than Barcelona did. Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo and Higuain were too fast for Barcelona defenders. During the second half, the same pattern, Barcelona moving the ball, controlling the game, but this time RM strikers were running out of fuel. Finally, and after showing its superiority for most part of the game, Ibrahimovic scored for FC Barcelona. Real Madrid tried to come back, but Barcelona midfilders Xavi and Iniesta made a great job taking care of the ball and contolling the game timing.

Congratulation for FC Barcelona fans, you have a great team (from a Real Madrid Supporter)

If only he could play under pressure he'd earn himself another star.

Puts in as good a ball as any, occasionally pops up with an important goal. Although I dislike him personally you can't deny the talent.
