Alaska Boroughs and Census Areas

Alaska does not have counties. The more densely populated areas are divided into boroughs. Boroughs function like counties in other states. The sparsely populated area is unorganized but for counting purposes is divided into census areas. The City of Anchorage is not in any borough but is an independent municipality.

Star Rating Scale: 1 = bad / 2 = not so good / 3 = average / 4 = good / 5 = best
