Educational institutions for children under 18 years of age at which the student is provided room and board along with a general academic education. Some boarding school are non-profit, including some that have religious associations. While others are for profit. Some schools are co-ed; others not. Some schools start children in grade school. Some schools accept day students along with the boarding students. Some schools may specialize in troubled kids, while others may provide an environment for the gifted in one way or another. Some schools may provide summer classes and camps. Some school may provide placement services by which they try to help parents find the most suitable institution for their child's needs. 5 = Great
