"Halloween" film series (1978-2009)

It all began October 25, 1978, when John Carpenter's Halloween premiered in the movie theatres. It was the first horror film to have the title "Halloween". This low-budget film starred Jamie Lee Curtis as "Laurie Strode" and Donald Pleasence as "Dr. Loomis". This film had suspense. The way it was filmed was original and scary. It was a major success. Halloween II (1981) continued the same night as Laurie enters the hospital. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) had nothing to do with "Laurie Strode" or "Michael Myers", accept for a cameo appearance of "Michael". Halloween 4 (1988), Halloween 5 (1989) and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), went a different direction as "Michael Myers" seeks Laurie's young niece. Donald Pleasence returned as "Dr. Loomis". Halloween H20 (1998) brought back Jamie Lee Curtis as "Laurie Strode". Now the head mistress at a private boarding school. She returned one last time in Halloween: Resurrection (2002).
It was back to the beginning with a remake by director Rob Zombie for Halloween (2007). How Michael was raised as a child was explored. Scout Taylor-Compton as "Laurie Strode", Malcolm McDowell as "Dr. Loomis". H2: Halloween 2 was released August 28, 2009. Laurie in the hospital the same night and then we forward two years later.
The eleventh movie, "Halloween 3D" is currently on hold. Patrick Lussler will be the director. It may be released in 2011.
