U.S. Presidents with No Previous Executive Experience

Experience has been an issue both campaigns have raised in 2008. I thought it might be interesting to see what presidents have not had previous executive assistance. I do not include presidents who may have had executive experience outside of politics or the military, nor do I include those whose only executive experience is Vice President of the United States, although I have indicated them with (VP) after their name. Rate them according to how they performed, despite their lack of executive experience.

Star Rating Scale: 1 = Poor / 2 = Fair / 3 = Average / 4 = Good / 5 = Great
