Very slow and uninspired news reader. PBS has lost sharp players. They are going for soft and warm. Nonsense.

Al's complete lack of credentials are matched by networks lack of scruples in evening mentioning his name and by his black supporters who support him, regardless of obvious inadequacies, only because he is black. I don't know if that's racial but it is stupid. Any person or group who wants to advance uses tools or methods that might work - making a statement with a vote is futile, infantile, and merely an emotional expression. Feels good but does nothing. Minorities should get smart and work in the arenas where the power is - power will accrue over time. Politics is the art of the possible, not the arena of the mouthpieces and showoffs. Al is a fool and probably a felon. Why would anyone want him to have a government position?

Ted is the most unctious pious phony commie to be on the tube I've ever seen. He may honestly not understand his obvious bias - he is so pointy headed in theorectical abstractions (or pretensions to same) that simply facts probably confuse him or cause him to feel unloftly. He loves his voice and it is the only thing that has advanced his career. He is not bright - but he thinks he is. And he is simply a pendantic poof who reminds me of....John Kerry. They are like blood brothers. Sure of their own greatness and supremely unlikeable. Dorko supreme!

Ever since Barbara Walters did Donna Rice (ca. Gary Hart, just after WWI) I thought this show was the broadcast equivalent of toilet paper. Since then, I've come to think that I was too positive.

Idea is not so fresh. Different but no longer riveting. Keillor is showing signs of self-love and dominance of air time. I grow weary of only him, particularly his singing. Used to be good place to hear new or ignored folk professionals - seems to be slipping into entertainment. Maybe time to get Disney to buy his show. Sad how money and fame can mess things up. And his politics don't belong in print or on the air. We don't give a rotten peep how he votes.

Most Celebrity ships are very good. People and materials are great value for price. Food pretty good and consistent. They get little attention but show always be in top 3 options when planning a cruise.

It's an impressive beast and deserves attention as an engineer work. However, it is owned by Carnival, who are basically tasteless brothel designers and have lowered the bar in cruising to a point of inducing nausea. They previously had lousy food - I would give them credit for improvements fleet-wide. But who can eat when you're vomiting from the decor and neon trash on their ships. Carnival owning Cunard is like Madonna buying the Vatican.

Purchased from founders by a Middle Eastern fellow with oil money. Coffee prepackaged became more and more aged on the shelf. Now he has expiry date on bags (his concept - not industry concept) and refuses to show roasting date. The only fresh roasted product in the U.S is Peets. Caribou is becoming like Walmart of coffee. So long, Mr. Sheik.
