I can't say I'm a fan, because I'm not. His politics and mine are pretty far apart, but that doesn't matter much to me, since there are several reviewers on here I enjoy reading who have even more divergent opinions. (EO, Wiseguy, Victor for example)
What I find irritating is his ongoing disinterest and apparent inability to write a sentence without multiple spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. Even worse than that, he seems to take pride in his abuse of the language, and makes no visible effort to improve. I know that there is a point of view that suggests that readers should overlook consistent sub-literacy and look at content, but frankly, I can't be bothered. If someone writes, spells and uses language like they're ignorant and illiterate, I come to believe that's exactly what they are.
