Comment Icon zuchinibut commented on a review of CiCi's Pizza in Pizza Chains:
To summarize your comment..."Your marketing is better than your food! I am a sucker for believing that a place that advertises a $5.00 all you can eat buffet would actually have high quality food or ample servings."

Its an accurate description of the holiday, but I like the sound of Easter just a bit better.

I've got no problem with this. In addition to celebrating the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., celebrating others who have fought for Civil Rights is a noble idea.

Bad Friday could be an alternate name for Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Its a Bad Friday indeed for anybody who has to work in retail or the restaurant industry.

This might make some sense if they fell on the same day, but they don't.

Yes. It is a holiday that occurs in the spring. However, it does nothing to describe that holiday. This seems like something that would be put on a government or public calendar rather than Good Friday in order to not offend non-Christians. Its probably more offensive to rename the actual holiday to something else. Non-Christians should just enjoy the day off if they are lucky enough to get it, and not worry so much about semantics.

Never heard of this before, and I can appreciate the joke regarding Jesus rising from the dead. However, I think a lot of people who celebrate Easter would be offended to hear this term. It also doesn't really roll of the tongue that well, especially when Easter is so easy to say.

I don't ever hear 25th of Christmas or 2nd of February when discussing Holidays, but for some reason Independence Day gets this distinction. I don't have a problem with it.

I'm pretty sure most Americans know what you are talking about when you mention Turkey Day. It doesn't replace Thanksgiving, but is a decent slang term to throw around from time to time.
