One of the boldest winter seasonal beers. Big hops with a somewhat sweet caramel malt character. Also stays tasty for quite a long time after purchase if stored properly. If you like big flavored beers this is one of the best.

Nice reddish color beer with plenty of tasty hops and a strong somewhat sweet malt backbone. One of the better Deschutes brews and well worth seeking out if you enjoy craft beers. Update:  I forgot to mention, this is a seasonal beer. Look for it in early spring and summer. When it's gone it's gone...until next year. I am hoarding a couple of bottles for friends to try. I haven't seen any in the stores in about a month. 9/12/2008. Update: No longer a seasonal. I haven't seen it for about three years. Supposedly brewed once in a while and only on tap.

Review Icon Spike65 reviewed Bridgeport ESB in Beer:
One of my favorite craft beers in the ESB style. Rich hops with plenty of sweet malts. Hops win by a small margin. Lots of places carry Bridgeport IPA but the ESB is harder to locate. I usually buy a sixer when I can. Nice to have on hand.
Edit 10-15-2013: Hard to find indeed. No longer bottled. Bummer!

An alright Asian lager. Nothing to get excited about but no bad flavors. Probably would be more enjoyable fresh in Singapore.

I delayed trying this beer due to the name. Sorry I waited. This is a very tasty craft beer. Not over the top like some of the more celebrated craft beers. Do not fear the Dead Guy.  Nicely hopped with a very full and interesting malt profile it is similar to some of the "bigger" Octoberfest beers available in the fall months.
Edit 10/15/2013.
I had my fling with this beer. Too malty for me now. Still a good beer especially for those that like sweeter craft beers and aren't craving lots of hop bitterness.

A decent impression of an English style Pale Ale. I t has plenty of flavor for such a low alcohol beer. I think it is about 4.0% abv. If you like a mildly pleasant beer you can drink quite a few in one session without getting too buzzed give it a try.

A well crafted IPA but usually a "one beer" beer for me. If you can get a fresh one it is relentlessly bitter and the bitterness lasts long after you have finished your bottle or can. Tasty for sure but if you try most any beer after having one of these, it will taste like water compared to the Torpedo.

I was prepared to dislike Mark before I saw him act. I haven't seen every movie he is in but from the ones I have seen he just keeps getting better. He was perfect for the role in Boogie Nights! Great cast too.

Review Icon Spike65 reviewed Corona in Beer:

If I were in Mexico and Miller was my favorite beer this is what I would drink. Without the lemon.  Corona has become a victim of it's own success. I see it stored un-refrigerated in near the beer in the cooler display. I bet this stuff would be great if you could keep it cool until you buy it. A clear glass bottle will "skunk" rather quickly if left out in the light. That's why most beers are in brown glass.  Pale yellow with a small white head. Soapy, corny, metallic, and bitter.

Review Icon Spike65 reviewed Genesee Beer in Beer:
The three stars only apply to this style of beer. Pale American Lager. A large regional brewery in Rochester, New York. I had a chance to revisit the standard lineup from Genesee. They are distributing here in Oregon now but so far the most common sizes available are the 24 ounce can. Somewhat inconvenient size. Anyway the beer poured a clear pale gold with a large white head. Nice aroma of grains maybe some hops. Taste is clean, crisp, very slightly sweet malts. A touch more hop flavor than most in this style. A fine alternative to the big brewers. I would actually give this beer three and one half stars if possible. Excellent hot weather beer. What would the neighbors think if they standing in the front yard with my 24 ounce beer in hand?
