This is, without question, Vancouver's greatest contribution to film. Forget that Hollywood North crap, where the city pretends to be Seattle or New York or LA so Hollywood schlockmeisters can take advantage of the currency exchange rate and lower labor costs.
This is film at its finest. For several decades, Pacific Cinematheque has been running seasons of classic, avante garde, disturbing, challenging, surreal, artistic, savage, propaganda, left wing, right wing, and anything else they felt like film. One of my most prized possessions is a membership here.
