Dying. Once a mall-staple has seen a decline in inventory and traffic for many reasons. . .I've walked out of the last two I've seen shaking my head concerning the lack of selection. Mall-walkers reading less?

I like our local store. It's small but well stocked. They will order what's not in stock, and I've never had a problem with using the reward points and certificates at any location. Not any more expensive than other chains. Much better than any of the Books a Million I've been to.

When I go to Waldenbooks, there is usually only 1 employee there, and they are always running around and are too busy doing other things to even notice me. This place sucks.

This is a good place for books, If it is not on the shelf dont worry just ask them to order it and they will.

Too cluttered and limited a selection to be considered a serious resource.

Out of the few I have been to, most of my experiences have been pretty bad. The selection is minimal, the prices are decent, but the staff are usually rude or ignore your exsistence.

I don't think they have as large a selection as Barnes and Noble and quite a few times I had to deal with a rude or unhelpful employee, but overall, it's a decent store.

They don't carry a very good selection, and I've only had bad experiences with their employees as far as customer service goes. One time I was with my boyfriend and the lady that worked there came storming up to us because we were looking at sexuality books and said she needed to see our IDs. We are both in our twenties and did not appreciate her attitude at all, especially since we visit adult themed stores all the time and never recieve this kind of treatment. When I tried to contact Waldenbooks' customer service about her rude behavior, I was ignored.

Not as good as Barnes and Noble, but it still has a great selection. The employees always seem to very helpful as well at any of the Waldenbooks I have ever been to.

It's an alright place to shop, with a basic selection, but from my experience it's not that great to work for them. But, I guess that's dependent on each individual location. If you really want to peruse a large selection of books or am looking for a slightly more obscure title, it might be best if you go to a Border's or Barnes & Noble than this.

The Waldens here is dark and dirty and the sales people refuse to come off from behind the counter. They are rude and can't be bothered most the time to see if something is available for order. It's well known in town that if you want service, friendly people, and a well ordered/well lit store, to go to B Dalton's .. you won't find it at Waldens

They can print a two inch thick newspaper for 75 cents, but a book that's half an inch costs twenty? What's up with that? Anyway, this store does have a decent selection and pretty good bargains. They are willing to order what they don't have on hand.

Waldenbooks is a small version of the bigger book stores, but it is much better. The variety is much larger and they carry most of every book, even ones that are out of print. The Children's selection is wonderful, and they always have discounts available.

The selection leaves much to be desired, but they offer a great 'perferred reader' program. I've already more than earned back the money for my membership! I always buy magazines there when I'm on my lunch break at the mall. I guess I like them because they're so convenient.

Too small; too much of a "chain." Not enough to choose from. Rather boring.

An okay bookstore. I have seen them at the malls. They very small compared to Barnes and Noble. so they do not have anywhere near the selection. If i go there it is to get a magazine or, to look at the bargain bins.

To me Waldenbooks is basically a slightly nicer version of B. Dalton. It's a little mall shop that you would only visit if you already happened to be in the mall and you wanted a not-hard-to-find book. Otherwise, why would you go to Waldenbooks when Barnes and Noble and Borders (which bought Waldenbooks a while back) have a better selection and lower prices?
