No Doubt will always bring back good memories for me. Gwen Stefani is hand downs one of the best female artists of the 90's. My favorite No Doubt song..................

The beginning of the end of the 90's for me. . . This band is on tour now just to remind me what I didn't like about them- average musicians riding the wave of a moderately cute alterna-chick to stardom. Sells music- but doesn't make solid art. . .

I've always loved this band. Gwen isn't the best vocalist around (although she's great compared to a lot of other famous "pop" stars), but she has her own style and has seemingly always been a good performer. I love how they blended so many differant styles of music, how their own style continued to evolve, and how they didn't really sound like anyone else. I also related to a lot of Gwen's lyrics, since it's from a young woman's point of view.

No doubt, being my favorite band I gave them five stars of course. I remember I had always liked them but When I saw them in concert for the frist time I fell completely in love with them. They had so much enegy, so much style. Itr seemd as if they were having just as much fin as the crowd was! I love how no Doubt has such diversity, but are still the same in many ways. They are constantly adding to their sound, making each album a bit different. Two thumbs up for never letting me down.

Notwithstanding my three stars for No Doubt, this band has to be one of the most presently overrated acts out there. Contrary to some of the other reviewers I like ska, but No Doubt was a bit too early on the second ska revival of the mid-90's. The band had largely abandoned this sound by "Tragic Kingdom" (1995), resulting in their best release (e.g. "Spiderwebs", "Just A Girl", and "Don't Speak"). Unfortunately, this led to Gwen Stefani becoming overexposed and the group never really matched this effort on follow-ups save for a few exceptions (e.g. "New" and their cover of "It's My Life").

They get 2 stars because the band does have some degree of talent. However, Gwen Stefani is incredibly annoying. Her voice sounds like one of those talking-baby dolls of yore. Squeaky and whiney. Weird mouth and chin section too. Looks like a D-grade porn star.

At first I didn't like the band, but then it grew on me. Their style is just so different and non-mainstream that I just have to applaud them. They have some weird songs, especially the one Gwen did with Moby, but I liked it. But, did they break up or something? I saw Gwen do a solo song, and it was cool, but where's NO Doubt?

Junk when they came out, the most mainstream worst of the Ska Movement(a style of music which should've gone out w/old Madness CDs anyway). suck now. Gwen's solo stuff is junk too. i liked Don't Speak but only the video. put Gwen in Red hair, and she looks like some chick i liked at the time.

no doubt is probably on eof the greatest bands around and they attract fans from every genre of music..... yea they may not be hip hop or pop but the ppl who listen to that still listen to no doubt.... and they are still able to keep their fans from the punk/ska/rock world. that there is a sign of a truely great band... people have this tendency to think that if other people start to like it... its bad.... people who think like that are just idiots

I love no doubt i think their ace, and gwen has a great voice which is really original and different. Just a girl is one of my favourites songs, along with its my life and dont speak. i mostly prefer there older songs as they turned more poppy as they went on. bt they stil rock!! :D

No Doubt were fantastic in the late ninties but made the fatal mistake of changing genre to move with the times. This left there real fans upset that she did not stick to what she does best. But once again we have a decent song crawl outta the woodwork. A very clever cover, its my life, by far the best song since New. But the split that is soon to come is enevitable as 10yrs has seen too many uncharted falls to keep strong.

No Doubt is one of those bands that is constantly evolving. With each album, they play the music they have the heart for from the ska-influenced Tragic Kingdom to the darker Return of Saturn to the 80's feel of their new material. While not lyrically deep, they are always reaching new creativity. Gwen Stefani is definitely who drives this band- while not having the most beautiful voice, its unique and she has that certain something. Whether it be fashion, No Doubt's music or the efforts to branch out solo, she is never afraid to be different. Which is a relief from other female singers who are media puppets. I think she's refreshing and No Doubt's music is always enjoyable.

Relentlessly annoying from day one. So bad that I can't even respect them for being annoying. First of all, Ska is probably the worst genre to ever exist. It's made even worse by sticking a not-very-good-looking chick with an obnoxious and completely unmusical voice in front of it, wearing a stupid Bindi dot on her forehead when there is no way in hell she's Hindu. Her duet with that R&B singer (I don't know her name and don't care) only shows that Ms. Stefani will do anything to attract the media (like a female Fred Durst).

The band peaked with Tragic Kingdom and Return of Saturn...those were two of the best rock albums of the '90s. Their latest album isn't really as good...it's more of a fun dance record, but there is still some musical creativity, and well, it's fun!

Kind of a guilty pleasure for me, since they'e a ska-influenced band and I don't hang with a ska-loving crowd .... I like the fact that they've been making solid music together for like 15 years (wish I could keep a band together that long!) but mostly I'm jonesin' for Gwen Stefani, the hardest working woman in the music biz.

Sorry, another Chick rock band that does not cut it for me. Theres only been a handful of rock acts with women fronting them that have ever measured up. Pat Benatar, Pretenders, and Bonnie Raitt....All the others are just chick rock. Who cares!

I like No Doubt because they have a very unique sound, and also because their songs vary a lot in style. On the "Tragic Kingdom" CD, no two songs sounded alike. They always keep me guessing, and they're never boring.

hell yeah i love no doubt! they're unique, and talented. some of their songs are better than others, but that's all right. i like tragic kingdom a lot, and return of saturn is good too. i dont have their OLD cd, i think it's self titled, can anyone tell me if its good?

They DISGUST me. I cannot stand anything about the band or Gwen. When people say she has a great and unique voice all i can think about is an ear ache. And as far as her being beautiful... if you like sweaty, greasy, over-done, trying too hard, annoying, ugly, weird, no style, bitchy girls then i guess shes great for you. but i cannot even grasp why anyone in their right mind would like such a thing. They make me SICK!

No Doubt is good-time ska. Gwen's voice is very unique and I'd like to hear her sing more swing, like in her duet on Brian Setzer's CD. But goind back to No Doubt, it's unlike anything I've ever heard, a mix of swing, pop, funk, punk, rock, and reaggae, they are an unbelievable ska band. Great to listen to.

No Doubt plays great feel-good music. I love Gwen's voice and the fact that she doesn't have to present herself to the media as a slut like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera do just to be popular.

If I could give a higher rating than 5 I would! No Doubt is such an incredibly awesome band. Their music is very diverse, but all similar enough to keep the same fan-base. I would say that thier music ranges from Ska-Punk to Alternative to Pop-Rock to New Wave influenced Pop-Punk. Gwen is so hot and the band is really awesome. And I think its so rad to have a girl on the Punk scene and shes just aobut the coolest person in the world...
