Wells' writing totally transports me to Louisiana and makes me want to read her books again and again. "Little Altars" was not quite as well done as "Divine Secrets" but both are fantastic works, and will remain in my personal library to be savored over and over. I hope she keeps writing!

This book made me cry, laugh, frown and reflect. All of the things that make a great novel. Wells' portrayal of the mother/daughter relationship is is brilliant. Any woman should be able to relate on some level

I read Little Alter's and Divine Secrets back to back without stopping. These books rate as two of my all time favorites!

"Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" was one of the most fantastic books I have ever had the privelige to read. I'm not so big on "Little Alters Everywhere," and not just because the subject matter was rough. It was, simply, a first novel and it shows.
