So far, I'm only rating the actors that I love to watch. Kate Winslet is one of them. She is always playing it real. And she manages to always exude vulnerability.

It makes me sad that not many people have commented on Kate Winslet. I was so proud of her for FINALLY winning that Oscar. She is the type of woman I wish was my best friend. She is so beautiful in a demure, lovely, womanly way. I love that she blows off the "waif thing" body type and is proud to be herself. She just oozes charm. She always seems so happy and genuine and gratified by the attention she gets. Her roles are always eclectic and intriguing. Titanic is where I first loved her. She was so young then but lived up to everything she was supposed to be for that role. Eternal Sunshine was another amazing one. She really puts herself into her roles. I can't wait to see what comes next for her.

Thank the movie Gods for Kate Winslet! She is actually built like....well....a.....REAL WOMAN and not a mans comicbook image of what a woman should look like AND she has the acting chops to boot!

Loses a star for being an integral part in forcing the horrendous "Titanic" on us.

O.k., I thought Titanic stunk, but I thought she was the bright light on that dreary outing. She also has shone in a variety of other roles. I also like a woman with a little heft to her and Kate Winslet is not one of those who diets all the time to meet Hollywood standards.

An  overrated, overlyfeminine irrtant who should be blacklisted from all forms of entertainment.  The Barry Manilow of actresses.

The most amazing Oscar-worthy special-effect in "Titanic" was the scene that actually tried to make us believe that skinny Leonardo DiCaprio's lone thin arm could hold onto Kate Winslet's chunky butt without having gravity taking immediate action. . .

Fearless, versatile and ever committed to even unsympathetic characters or sordid roles that few others would take on, as well as to rather disquieting movies. In time, she will be acknowledged the sole creditable contributor in 'Titanic,' to the extent of having chosen to disregard 1997 trends in female beauty to personify authentic standards of the early 20th century, at no little expense to the appeal of contemporary audiences. Canada's observation is apt regarding the climactic sequence with DiCaprio; the insatisfaction, however, should rest not on Winslet but, rather, on director James Cameron who, after all, was responsible for having cast the male lead and devising the shot.Winslet might well have remained safely in the conventional in movies like 'Sense and Sensibility' (1995) or 'Finding Neverland' (2004), in both of which she revealed the striking reality of her characters. Instead, she challenged herself further in disturbing movies like 'Holy Smoke' (1999) and 'Quills' (200... Read more

Kate Winslet is a rare Gem. She is extremely talented and even more likable. She has a presense about herself that makes you want to wonder and look at her as if you are possesed. She stole me in all of her performanced. I have to admitt that I don't really understand some of the movie roles that she chose, but have to say that I liked her even in those roles because she truly is a wonderful actress. I like her face, it's strong yet sensual, her heroiness are fragile, yet daring and selfless. She is on of a few actresses that is mature beyond her years. She is captivating, angelic, very feminine, yet ambitious, tenacious, and brave. I truly hope that she will make more movies because we haven't seen the best of her just yet.

Kate is a talented actress, and then I saw her on Extras, where she was hysterically funny. I can't wait to see her in some comedic roles now.

Never really considered her much until I saw her in an episode of 'Extras' a UK comedy show from Ricky 'The Office' Gervais. A big up to her for taking the p*ss out of herself and being very entertaining in the role. Now that she's lost some of that puppy fat she's now become a very attractive and sexy woman.

Kate Winslet is incredible! Titanic was THE best movie for me but not only because Kate was in it. I've watched all Kate movies. They are all special and amazing! I am not considering Kate as a "star" but she IS famous for a reason! She is talented as you can see in "Eternal Sunshine" for example, or "Holy Smoke", or "Sense and Sensibility", or "Neverland"...etc.

One of the best actresses around in my opinion. Looks like a classic beauty and hopefully won't let Hollywood get to her head (eg. Kate Beckinsale)

I have to give her a 5 because she is one of the few current actresses w/ both talent and beauty. She is a real actress and a real woman, unlike some of these Hollywood travesty of women such as Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Love Hewitt and the like. The British accent doesn't hurt either :)

Though best known for her starring role in Titanic, she is amazing in a number of less mainstream films such as Heavenly Creatures, Sense and Sensibility, and Hideous Kinky. Her versatility is also shown as the intriguing character of Clementine in the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, my favorite role of hers. She deserves to have a higher profile, but you have to respect her path of embracing films that provoke over ones that aim for the lowest common denominator. She's one of the finest younger actresses around.

A very beatiful woman, and a very good actress... she has the perfect shape in my opinion... too bad she isn't cast in more modern day roles.
