I'm wondering why she is rated so low, and why so few of those people wanted to comment on why they think she is such a bad actress.

I, personally, find that she is very talented and is capable of entering into many different types of characters and plotlines. She is also very beautiful and seems intelligent. Not only that, but she seems fairly approachable, in the sense that fame has not gone to her head and that she's remained well-balanced through all of the publicity that she's been given over the years.

Folks, I had the pleasure of attending the HBO Golden Globes afterparty in 2004 and met the luscious woman. Let me tell you it took every ounce of strength to maintain my composure! I gave her a hug and congratulated her for "Monster". She was so warm and inviting, and she looked amazing!! I'm 6'2" and she was looking me dead in the eye. The Cravemeister is in love...

I think this woman is just gorgeous, and I do love her movies. I think she is what the new Classic will be.

Some of the bitchy comments from female posters here a a tad strong methinks!!! Envy and sour grapes for sure. She's a very accomplished and versatile actress for starters. I've seen her in a number of interviews and she comes across as well grounded, not up her own fundament and can also take a joke. As for her appearance..scuse me while I stop drooling. She's female beauty perfected and as for those gorgeous legs!!!!

She posseses the same quality as Angelina Jolie, she's magnetizing, striking, daring, but all in the right way. She mixes girl-next-door/hollywood royalty look.Everything about her is telling you I'm just another mortal you can relate to - that quality is golden.

Charlize is extremely beautiful, talented and graceful. Shes done some amazing work The Italian Job, The Yards, Mighty Joe Young, Devil's Advocate, Men of Honour, The Cider House Rules, Celebrity the list goes on and on. Another thing I admire about her is that she's not one of those actresses that whines, goes on television to tell their life story and wants the whole world to feel sorry for her. When challenged on numerous occassions about Hollywood not casting asthetically challenged women who could have played Aileen in Monster she defended herself so well. She's not just another pretty face she actually has talent to back those looks.

OMG, I love Charlize!! She's great..my favorite actress. I have pictures of her all over my walls and I only watched the award shows like The Oscars just to see her. She is extremely talented and amazingly beautiful. She came to the US from South Africa all alone when she was a teen and was discovered in a bank when they refused to cash her check. That is one ballsy lady..1: B/c she survived on her own in a country she had never been to before; 2: For flipping out like that on the dude working in the bank that refused her check. You have guts, Char! And you deserved to win those awards in 2004 for Monster. You're beautiful and talented, keep on acting! Love, your biggest fan.

Nothing wrong with her acting ability but lookswise, she's definitely the most beautiful woman in showbiz. Bar none. She's not afraid to take on unglamourous roles like the loony wife in 'Devils advocate', serial killer in 'Monster' and prisoner's moll in that heist movie with Ben Affleck

I am anxious to see her in Monster. just from the clips she really is something. I think she has a lot of potential and has finally given the chance to prove herself with this role. Good luck to her in future roles.

She can't act. The only reason she won an Oscar is because she got ugly for the role. She is one of the worst actors out there.

I had always found Charlize Theron to be a pleasant actress with a good delivery and an undeniably pretty face. But on a second glance in light of her Academy award, I have decided she is better than many of her films would lead you to believe. I think she's one of those actresses who has the talent and yet manages to swamp herself in shallow roles and films lacking quality. Her performance in Cider House Rules has always impressed me and now with her acclaimed role in Monster, she has convinced me. Beautiful, down-to-earth and talented, I hope her Oscar win will lead her to better films with material that will allow her to shine.

She is absolutely sensational in Monster and will probably win an Oscar for that role. She credits a woman director for being able to see beyond her sensational beauty to the talent underneath that enabled her to turn in this great performance. She is very beautiful without a ton of makeup and it'sice that she is secure enough with herself to not go the implant route. I think she is one of the best actors in Hollywood. Also, she was smart enough to lose her South African accent and work with a dialogue coach to sound American, thus broadening her chances for interesting roles.
