This was the only good "spin-off" in history-- and it even accounted for the changes from "Cheers," by saying that Frasier lied about everything in Boston; most shows would have just ignored all that-- they also would have handed off the writing to a different group, and everything would have been different. This show didn't do that; they kept everything consistent, and didn't even pull the lame stunts typical of TV shows like trying to pretend an actress isn't pregnant, or simply writing it into the script impromptu-- like with Jane Leeves, Daphne just got fat. The main problem with this show was that it would get boring, and so the characters would get quirky and silly-- and then they started bringing in all kinds of "new kids on the block" who were just plain annoying or mean. The "special guest stars" were worst of all, since they'd ruin the entire show just to draw in new viewers, at the expense of the loyal ones. Still, it was one of the best sitcoms, and the plots were intellig... Read more

Frasier is an awesome show...some say it's dry humor but I don't think it is. I just think its funny, and you couldn't ask for a better cast. My favorite episode is where Frasier's father pretends to be gay so he can get out of going on a date.

When I was a teenager and young adult I would watch this show with my parents each week. I was sad when it ended. The best thing is I still can watch it in reruins on Lifetime. This show is still one of my favorites.

A really good show. At times you almost needed a dictionary and an encyclepedia to understand what they were talking about. Wonder if Dennis Miller ever liked this show?

This was one of my all time favorite shows. It was smart and witty and I loved the characters.  This is what today's shows are missing- real intellectual humor. I am tired of all the vulgar and idiotic tv that we have now. Bring Frasier back!

Frasier was ok. I watched the first few seasons, but I really think they lacked in the writer department. One thing I can say for Kelsey Grammer is he sure can sing.

Consistently funny. Well written and acted. Sometimes a bit too predictable but still better than 95% that is offered on television.

I still love Frasier. I watch it pretty regularly on Lifetime. One of those times when the spin off is better than the show it originated from. The characters are priceless!

Although I do not tune in every week. I like this show a lot. It is very well written and acted. Frasier and his brother Niles are both Psychiatrists, In ways they are similar both kind of snobby, and picky about things.Their dad is the opposite,he was cop,who is now retired after an gunshot wound. He is a more laid back likes his old chair, and modest way of living. Daphne is their live in therapist, who Niles has always adored by far.{only recently let her know he loves her and eventually married her} Roz is funny as the wise cracking co-worker of Frasier. All the actors are good. A very well put together cast, all the actors play off each other well.   A 4.5. Oh yeah and cannot forget Eddie cute dog.

Cheers was great, but I never found this spinoff that funny. While he was a great character on Cheers, I never would have based a spinoff on Frasier.

Some episodes were a bit weak but over the 9 (?) or so seasons it ran for, it's amazing how such a high standard of intelligent comedy was maintained. Niles is a classic creation and was the best character followed by Eddie. But I have to say Daphne was a bit of a 5th wheel. Roz on the other hand was sex incarnate.

For five seasons, an unblemished gem. Its charms wore thin in its latter years, relying on tired cliches. Officially jumped the shark when the harpy mother-in-law moved to Seattle.

While Frasier might have been overlooked and taken for granted by many, it will certainly out live it's counterparts as one of the smartest comedies ever to grace television. No detail was too small to be overlooked and the jokes were more than just cheap one liners with annoying melodies in between the thirty scenes of other shows (Friends, Will & Grace, etc). The plot was always light but genuine and the show never wore on your nerves.

It has one-liners, farce, physical comedy, satire and those wonderful intellectual jokes that give you a warm feeling of smugness whenever you manage to 'get' them. Great writers (by and large), a wonderfully gifted cast (particularly DHP), and compelling characters. One of the greatest sitcoms of all time.

Good bye Frasier! You were one of the few shows on television these days that was funny! Now that you, Friends, and Everybody Loves Raymond(almost)is off air there aren't any shows that are really funny.

I am saddened by the departure of Frasier. I know it was going downhill in recent seasons, but it was still a joy to watch. There just aren't any good, classy sitcoms on the air anymore.

Since Niles and Daphne getting together, the scripts have got more tired. Should've called it a day 2 series ago. Big minus for the depiction of 'Brits' here mostly Daphne, with a strange Mancunian accent, and her brothers..one with a very peculiar Dick van Dyke attempt at cockney, one who's posh and one with a cartoonish Glaswegian.

I like Frasier because it is intelligent comedy, which is a nice change but since Nile's and Daphne's marriage Frasier has become fairly worn down, even with solid actors like Kelsey Grammer and as for Eddie-he is probably one of the most intelligent dogs I've come across in TV shows. It was good while it lasted and there will be a lot of repeats to see but it's probably about time Frasier production ended anyway.

Frasier is in my top 3 favorite shows of all time. It's intelligently written and I have all of the older episodes on tape. The first two episodes of this last season were really good - I thought the old Frasier was back. But after these two shows, it slipped back a little into its Jump the Shark mode. Too bad the actors, writers and directors can't keep shows fresh and wonderful. They fix things when they really aren't broken. I suppose they're just too close to the situation; they need to bring me on board as a professional viewer-consultant! I could have saved them on several mistakes. The coupling of Niles and Daphne was good, in my opinion, but ity was just really bad timing for Jane Leeves to be pregnant in real life just after their union. They should have been totally hot for each other, and instead they had to take their time with each other because of her expanding belly! The story line of Dapne getting fat was the turning point where the show officially Jumped the Shark. At ... Read more

Frasier is middle of the road. Hit and miss kind of show. Not particularly funny, more often than not, boring. My standard line when my wife puts it on is to yawn, Fraaaaaazurrrrrr (she hates it). But it's side-splitting compared to whiney, self-absorbed Friends and Will and Gay. What I don't care about it: Frasier and Niles are so darn smug, condescending, and wimpy, yet in reality, they are both bumbling idiots. What I do like: Eddie the dog cracks me up (they should make a show about him), martin, Roz, and the British Girl played by Jane Leeves. Just the fact that we are willing to watch it makes it 3 stars.

Pretty damn wimpy that's for sure. How many people are like this in real life? What an annoying world it would be if people actually did act like spineless little mama's boy snobs. Frasier and his sissy ass brother should pack it in before it starts to putrify even more than it has.
