When WB was on WGN Chicago I would watch the show weekly. I was so disappointed when WB was no longer on WGN. This was an awesome show. I was every excited when this show came to TBS so I could get cought up on the eposides I missed before the final one aired.

I bought all 5 seasons available on DVD a couple weeks ago because I had just done the same with Smallville and liked Smallville a lot. This show started off fine. Season one was a good genesis, but starting in season 2 the series started getting ridiculous. Let's start with Jack. What made me mad 1st in Joey breaking up with Dawson because she needed to "find" herselp at 15 because she says she cares about Dawson too much. Totally unrealistic and stupid. Then instead of being alone to do that (which is the only way a reason like that is accepted) she runs right to Jack. Jack then in the most ridiculous writing ever in this homeosexual obsessed world, realizes that all of a sudden he is gay and then suddenly all of his feelings are shut off for everyone that he like before. This was just one of many "tragic" things for Joey. By the end of season 2 with Andie going away to Psycho camp, that season just became too much. It really went off the deep end when Joey said she wou... Read more

Good drama, solid acting, and one of the few shows that paints a realistic picture of life as a teenager and young adult. It had its flaws, but was one of the better "teen" shows of this time period. The first, second and third seasons were excellent, but by the fifth season things started to go down hill. I could have done without the sixth season all together. What I like about the show are the issues presented, and the fact that when they tackle a subject, it is often done quite tastefully, showing both sides of the issue. Overall, the show had a good run and is one of my favorites.

Dawsons creek was hugely special. One of those rare television shows where everything is right and all fits together to make utter compelling television. For me the third season will always hold up as the best and holds the best ever episode...'Escape From Island Island' and others like Barefoot In The Cape and Guess Whos Coming To Dinner and it was good to see Dawson lose Joey. The fourth season was my 2nd favourite season as i loved the character Gretchen and the Graduate episode. The ratings for the first 3 seasons were hugely impressive becoming the # 1 show on channel 4.It was moved to a different time slot by its fourth and ratings dropped.By the fifth season the ratings were not good and the sixth season was moved onto the channel 5 network ( which alot of people still dont have in parts of the uk) and ratings became so bad they didnt register on the ratings scale.I think that was a shame for the finale as it wasnt given the send off it should. I loved Dawsons Creek but i ha... Read more

It was pretty good (for a teen show) in the first two seasons, but after that it lost any sense of humor and all of its flaws (overwritten dialouge, too much focus on the Joey character, Dawson's self absoption, relatively bad continuity, etc.) magnified. And the last two seasons were flat out awful.

one of my favorite shows of all time, I have the dvds and watch them regulary. But it ended the way it should have with joey and pacey together. I'm glad it went out when it did because the characters were growing up to a point where it wasn't good tv anymore

It's not like those other teen ensemble dramas because it actually has real substance and I can take something away for it. With Dawson's Creek , it's more about the journey than the discovery, which is why I always felt that the intricate dialogue was what made the creek so compelling. Plus, it didn't follow the most popular kids in school. It also doesn't focus on the outcast and , therefore, doesn't give the group of friends on the show a label, which makes them more relatable and real. Unlike the girls on other shows, the girls on the creek don't put shopping and makeup as their first priority and don't drool over the latest trends. The problems dealt with on The Creek come more gradually than any other show because it's not meant to shock, it's just simply exhibiting the lives of these five people, who have each come together in one way or another and explains there relationship with each other in a profound, yet realistic way. The backgrounds of the characters are explained a... Read more

What is the fun of watching angst-ridden teenagers yell at each other and have relationships with everyone imaginable? I prefer my entertainment to be upbeat and optimistic--not depressing nonsense like this! Little more than a prime-time soapopera with teenagers, this show is not only uncreative--it is offensive. With no imagination, the writers instead rely on sexual inneundo, profanity, and even the occasional dirty joke. The challenge continues for a scripted television show starring teenagers that are positive role models and angst-free.

I was so mad when they cancelled this show! This is my fave show, that was ever on TV! But, I am making my own TV series, and it's similar to DC! The show was just so...so..real. Well, ok in some cases it went a little over the top, but then again thats what makes a good show, it keeps the intrest. And it has the right actors and actresses in it too. I mean, the teenage problems are the ones that I'm sure we all went through. Actually the show was very brillent in some aspects. It had humor, and emotion.

Thank God someone is putting this waste of celluloid out of its misery. TBS' great idea of airing this amoral pooch of a show for four hours per day is exactly why I don't watch TBS anymore. Does WB really want everyone to see the series finale? Don't kill off ust one cahracter...kill them *all* off, in a suitably horrific fashion, and I'll spend $1,000 with each of the show's sponsors...WB execs, are you reading this?

This used to be a very good show but has lost quality in recent years, especially this season. Usually entertaining and interesting, but the way some of the characters (especially Joey) speak is sometimes unbelievable and beyond annoying. Used to be very touching and easy to identify with...now it's just kind of disentegrated.

Why I am no longer a Dawson's Creek fan? I am sick of the Joey-Dawson-Pacey plot. They break up, moan about it, and sleep with each other again. Right now, Joey is kissing her professor. Please cancel this sad excuse of a show.

Oh my goodness gracious, STOP! What has been done to this show? The first time was ok, the second straining but the 17335:th time Dawson and Joey start their never ending quest of "Do you love me like I love you, or think I love you, or don't.." WHATEVER! I have never seen a couple with such a lack of chemistry! Joey and Pacey were good, until they became the king and queen of boredom. Jen is overanalyzing every tiny little thing, and the only favorite I had Andi, is off in Europe somewhere. Haven't the producers realized that "Dawson goes to college" isn't a good idea?! It killed Saved by the Bell and it's happening again. No teenager I've ever met have acted like these people are acting. No Joey you really aren't that interesting. Dawson NO ONE cares about your 'suffering' artist routine. Jen, stop analyzing every TINY LITTLE THING! Jack, where are you? Pacey, WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU?! Please let this show die with what littel grace it has left.

ok ok, i have to admit that the show was really cool in the first two seasons, then it went down hill. they need new story lines, the Dawson-Jen-joey-Pacey thing is getting really really old, i wish they will get over it and move on. Plus Dawson needs to get laid, it is just sad that he went to collage like that.

Tonight I watch the episode where dawson´s father dies, and it was incredible. I cry like a baby (I´m 36)with every scene where his father appear. Every caracter was touched in a different way for this great "family man" as he described himself in last week episode. The photography, the music, the dialagues were so right, that the whole episode came out as a beautifull tribute to mitch and his legacy through out all this years.

I do like the show a lot & have from the beginning but the storyline this year has really been getting on my nerves. The show began with Joey being in love with Dawson & dying for him to notice her. When he finally wakes up & takes notice (which is supposedly all she's ever wanted), she breaks up with him! She tells him she wants to be alone & then dates every other guy in sight. Every time things don't go her way she runs back to him & then breaks his heart again. In the midst of all this on-again off-again crap, she commits the ultimate betrayal & goes behind his back & gets involved with his best friend (a double betrayal as they both claim this title). Pacey & Joey break up & she runs back to Dawson asking him to give up UCLA film school to stay there with her! What nerve! Especially when she was the one who made him think he should pursue something else besides film (which is obviously what he was born to do). I was delighted when he said no but then there was the kiss. I hope ... Read more

I've seen EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Dawson's Creek. It is my favorite show. I love all the characters especially Joey and Pacey. I like how the show deals with real problems and gives them interesting twists. I like how the show doesn't "talk down" to me as a teenager by using baby terms for things. The show tells it how it is and I really appreciate that. I know that some people think the vocabulary is unrealistic for teenagers but that just shows that they are the ignorant ones because not all teenagers are stupid kids who only know how to communicate in sentence fragments. I'm intelligent and so is the writing on Dawson's Creek. We are a perfect match!

I never miss the show. I make sure I am at home by 8:00 every Wednesday night. My friends make fun of me because they say this a show for teenagers. Well, I'm not a teen I'm 30 years old and I just love this show. The characters are all superb. And the storylines are wonderful. It takes me back to my high school years.

GOOD SHOW GONE BAD WHEN SHE LOST HER VIRGINITY. MY TEENAGE GIRL(S) WATCHED THIS SHOW RELIGIOUSLY AND WOULD CANCEL EVERYTHING ELSE SO THEY WOULD NOT MISS IT....UNTIL SHE WENT TO BED AND GAVE IT ALL UP. THEN THE KIDS JUST DROPPED IT, NOT INTERESTED ANYMORE. BAD BAD DECISION TO ALLOW HER TO DO THAT. KIDS THESE DAYS FACE THIS PROBLEM EVERYDAY AND THE GIRLS WANT TO SEE SOMEONE FACE THIS CHALLENGE AND BEAT IT...NOT GIVE IN AND LOSE IT SO EASY. THEY NEVER WATCH THIS SHOW ANY MORE, WE ARE TUNED INTO GILMORE GIRLS NOW.
