Can't wait for the next installment. Let's hope Henson this week at CC makes an announcement about that!

I have recently discovered Farscape on DVD and I love it. My only regret is that I never paid attention to this brilliant show while it was on television.

Absolutely the best sci-fi show of the '90s. I once thought the X-Files was the best, but Farscape knocks it out of the ballpark in their writing. The characters are compelling and none are one dimensional. The storylines are often complex, the writers know how to write a complex adult relationship between the leads where the sexual tension crackles.

Farscape ran for 4 seasons and deserved MANY more. Watch a few episodes before you judge. TV will never be the same again.

One of the most compelling TV series ever written. This character driven story, told over 89 episodes will grab you and immerse you in its telling of a wonderful story and completely fleshed out characters by some of the finest actors I've ever had the pleasure to watch.

My favorite show of all time. Excellent story lines with a nice mix of drama and humor. No other scifi series comes even close.

Farscape pushed the envelope like no other show I've seen. Wonderful CGI, incredible acting and razor sharp writing. This has to be my favorite show of all time.

The best tv show ever. It always pushed the limits. No matter how many times I watch it I find something new to see. And I never get tired of watching. My favorite show of all times.

How long did Farscape air during the '90s? Nine months? LOL. Overrated.

This show has a neat and distinctive look. However, the puppet characters are unconvincing and the feel of the show is too self-conciously weird. It also lacks good plots.

I just can't handle the puppets -- it's like ALF!!! (but the rest of the show is decent)

Shoddy sets that rival 'Plan 9 from outer space' for crapitude. The lead 'actor' is about the worst I've ever seen, constantly overacting and always shouting. Pretentious dialogue and worst of all tedious storylines with very little ever happening. Right down there with 'Babylon 5'. Utter sh*te for total nerds.

This show is easily the cheesiest sci-fi series ever. It was cancelled once with good reason. The costumes are hilariously campy (think batman meets seasame streets meets S&M;). The acting is beyond putrid. Hopefully the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series won't get re-run. Oh, BTW, Peacekeeper Wars is an oxymoron, but to the losers who love this low budget muppet extravaganza it's sounds cool.

Finally, a change from campy scifi like Star Trek. Complex story lines, complex story arcs that last for several episodes, incredible epic story telling, one of the finest shows ever made.

At first I thought this show was stupid and never gave it much of a chance but I watched the first few episodes and was hooked. I had to buy the DVD's and have watched them countless times. It had the right mix of action, drama, and humor. The words they came up with was memorable and drew you into the Farscape universe. The way it was cancelled was a crime against humanity. Leaving fans on the edge of their seat and with so many questions. The news of a new mini-series is awesome and I hope it pans out.

Farscape was, and will be again, the best show on television. I've tried watching other programs but none, with the possible exception of Carnivale, have grabbed and held my interest like Farscape. The writing, the acting, the special effects are all superb. If it had adequate backing by a network that knew what to do with it, it would be a monster hit.

Hands down the best Sci-Fi show ever created. The chemistry of the entire cast and the way they feed off of each other has never been seen on television before, and may never be seen again. This is a complete package show, the writing, the cast, the story, the effects...everything in perfect harmony with each other. Thank goodness the www.savefarscape.com campaign has worked and we are getting a 4 hour mini series to wrap it up. Especially after the way it was unjustly cancelled by the Sci-Fi Channel. It is a real shame that the Sci-Fi Channel and President Bonnie Hammer doesn't have a clue how to program REAL science ficition television.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? I'll just add this: My husband is very vocal about hating SciFi shows. However, I have him hooked on this one. We watch the episodes on DVD every Friday night, just like the good old days!

This is, by far, the most entertaining Science Fiction series ever produced. The first time I ran across it, I said to myself, This is kind of strange, and I was immediately sucked in. It's original and creative, and soon I was sucked in even more by the nature of the relationships on the show. Each of the characters (even the muppets) goes through changes. They don't stay the same like most characters on television. Case in point: In the beginning, D'Argo and John seem as though they will always be begrudging allies, never friends. By the second season, they have learned enough about each other to gain mutual respect. By the third season, you know that they would go through hell and back for each other. And the naivite and fear John feels in the first season has turned to courage and trust in himself and others by the fourth. And don't even get me started on Aeryn. She found out she could be more and has constantly become more and more than she ever thought possible. If yo... Read more

I want to write a serious, beautiful tribute to this show that I love so much, but it is difficult. I want to mention the compelling, complicated, multi-episode story lines, but then there's the episode that is largely a cartoon. That it is gripping, intelligent drama, but then Rygel farts helium. That the actors are remarkabe, but the puppet performances, the sheer craftsmanship of them, are equally remarkable. You can examine Farscape at any level of detail and what you find is a repeated pattern of excellence. Be it an episode, a group of episodes, a season or the whole series, the Story is always brilliant. Be it an actor or a puppet, or a model, or a cgi, the performance is dynamic and unique. From Chiana's delicate shading to some of the very finest prosthetic work going on today, each alien is entirely convincing. The truth is, Farscape is everything. Comedy, Tragedy, Drama, Mystery, Adventure, Romance, Intrigue, Horror, Suspense - and growth. Characters change. Some of t... Read more

As a long time sci-fi fan I have been disappointed in recent years. It seemed as if their just weren't any good science fiction shows on television anymore. Even the scifi channel was a disappointment, only having an occasional movie worth tuning into. Then along came Farscape and it blew my mind. The show was well produced, clever and inventive storylines, and it wasn't corny. It was very suitable for current times. Farscape was a perfectly balanced show, action balanced with dialogue, uality balanced with intrigue and so on. Even your villains were ambigious. Scorpius first appeared as the perfect evil villain but we eventually learn of his past and now he is still a bad guy, but one who is driven by his own sense of duty. The women were all y, even for aliens. You can't get much hotter than Chiana. But she wasn't just some cute little gray piece of meat. She was a fragile and sensitive person despite her street smart survivor attitude. The writes did very well in developing all the ... Read more

Other science fiction series can try, but they will NEVER meet the magic that is Star Trek. Farscape is as terrible as sci-fi can get. The makeup looks bad, there aren't enough sci-fi plots (anomalies, time travel, etc.), and the tone is so bleak, you would think you were watching a horror movie. And, bad acting too.

Let's get real it is a bunch of junk, I would not call it a TV show I would call it TV garbage, who ever made up such a show had nothing else to do, the imagination station for this person was way off at the time of producing Farscape, would not waste a minute of my time to watch it.

I struggled to get through the first season, but second was well worth the discomfort. Good, black, irreverant humor. Virginia Hey is as dishy as when I first saw her in Mad Max 2, circa 1980 -even if she is blue.
