I really enjoyed reading your review because that is exactly how I feel about Disney Channel,when I was growing up in the 80's Disney channel was truly Disney ,now it's not. Umm ok so over the years I have watch Disney Channel like when I was 10 yrs old. I loved it but now it sucks. I really hate it.The only show I like on there is Phineas and Ferb. I'm 25 years old and when I was a teen I used to love this channel. That was because the shows that were on were actually quality entertainment. Anyone remember Bug Juice? It was an adorable reality show with REAL teens. That includes overweight and real looking teens. So Weird, Even Stevens, The Famous Jett Jackson and so many more. The shows were actually entertaining. In a Heartbeat is probably the most underrated and rather intriguing show out of them all. The original movies were also quite good for being low budget productions that aired a new one every month. I was surprised when I saw that they don't even really do them anymore. It was really sad because there were some great films. Anyone remember "The Color of Friendship"? Probably one of the best films. It beats High School Musical any day. I know alot of people here already hate disney channel enough, but I might as well throw something on the pot. First of all, it's not that disney channel is relinquishing the kids audience to teen shows, but they're sending those to their other two channels Playhouse Disney and Toon Disney, where you're probably able to find some of the old shows on there. But still, that does not make an excuse for what they've done with this channel. They've basically bastardized the whole thing, preferring to use attractive looking people and cheesy pop songs to make bad sitcoms about teenagers and hot celebrities and hot teenage celebrities wanting to be regular hot teenagers. I used to watch disney channel all the time. Every morning when i was like 12 or 13 i would come down with my dad and watch things like aladin and hercules, house of mouse, timon and pumba, all the old classics. Then all of a sudden tgey completely got rid of em and replaced them with unrelated crap wich has nuffin to do with disney whatsoever. If you go to disney land you wont see zack and cody, or the jonas brothers on the disney parade!! Ok, im 16 now but if they put the old classics back on disney channel then i would so watch them, because it is great entertainment!! All the actors now are just stupid. Jonas brothers? Get real!!!! As younger I watched Disney Channel and was amazed that a whole channel was there with only Disney on. I loved all the disney stuff about Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and all of those lovley charachters. Today the so called Disney Channel is pure garbage, what happened to things that were Disney. I think that disney channel has really gone down. And I also believe that everyone needs to take a good look at disney channel from the good old school days and compare it to todays. I promise you will be amazed of how cheasy, corny, and greedy disney channel has become today. The channel has no magic, no imagination, no new moral lessons nor showing that being yourself makes you special and very unique anymore. I am ashamed of the directors and other money grubbers who run disney channel today. Think about the kids for once and make a change before the children looses innocence.

I am taking the time to write a review of your channel which i rarely do. My children 9 and 10yr old girls use to love watching the Disney Channel. We have noticed so many changes and very rarely watch the station anymore. What happened to Lizzy Mcguire and Raven? We are all tired of seeing Hannah Montana all the time. Its sad that the other shows have disappeared because your producers decide to promote other celebrities. Please bring back the old favorites they are truely missed.

I never really watch Disney Channel as a kid. I was too busy watching Cartoon Network and Nikelodeon back before they became garbage. Disney Channel has the same problem these other two networks have but to a lesser degree. It is catering way too much to the preteen-teen age group. Now if they were actually making quaility shows I'd be okay with this but they're not and they're forcing this crap on younger kids. Most of the Disney Channel shows manage to be mediocre at least. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was actually good until the stars hit puberty. Hannah Montana I've never watched, but from what I've seen, it looks pretty shallow.

I rate The Disney Channel as less than OK. While the shows are entertaining for kids, they lack showing any real life experiences. Most adults are either absent for most of the program or if they are present, they are wrapped up in doing other things besides parenting, and only find out about things at the end of the episode. What parents leave underage kids alone constantly while they go off to do whatever? A little more reality would be nice.

I have never liked to watch the Disney Channel, because I have had a much mature taste in entertainment, but my friends seemed to enjoy it as kids. I do know that it used to be geared for younger children. Now they are trying to appeal to teens, and they are hiring horrible actors and actresses, such as Miley Cyrus. Children now have no idols or role models that they can look up to. All the girls are going to be pregnant and all the guys are going to be the ones who knocked them up. I mean, come on, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovate, etc. are all much to old to be acting on the Disney Channel like this. And, honestly, the Jonas Brothers aren't all that they are cracked up to be. Pretty soon, they are going to realize they are not six years old any more. I can only hope that they eliminate some of their regular programs and add some new ones that are appropriate for children.

what is the cartoon movie, which was definatley played on disney channel... i can only remember parts of it.. a boy was living in the kings castle, and then something started to fill up the castle..i really can't remember what it is.. and then there was another movie with like a troll type creature, and a little girl and a shopping cart. i know they were movies!!

Piece of crap channel. I remember the old Disney Channel. I remember watching Disney in the early 90's when they used to play "older" movies at night. Disney channel has gone way down in the past 10 years. What happened to shows like Lizzie McGuire, The Jersey, So Weird, etc. Those were great shows and they are timeless. please add those back on and get rid of those gimmicky disney channel shows.

Its quite depressing that this is what kids watch now. I mean, what happened to GOOD kids shows? These are snobby actors in silly little situations, who even cares? This IS NOT what it will be like for kids when they grow up. If they think this is what they're in for when they grow up, they're wrong. And all these new, disgusting shows on Disney Channel are making them think that life is like that, where nothing matters. Sure, maybe not for kid stars who are already rich and famous, probably by their parents pushing them out on stage. But for an average kid who has been watching the Disney channel and starts acting like those stars, chances are they'll get bullied. Put some good entertainment on Disney, for gods sake! I don't know what it's like now, but I remember it used to be pretty good at one time. Especially the "Vault Disney" midnight classics, some of which I was able to get on tape.
