Very tepid and uninspiring performer.  When she sings, she always sounds a tad flat.  At the very least, one who expect a professional singer to have some sense of pitch, but, I guess some folks have some very low expectations.

Though she gets a bit "sleepy" at times, I think the woman is a genius and I enjoy listening to her. She was once called the "female Sinatra".

Sort of unique imo. Cool songs, unusual raspy voice, stunning beauty and puts on a great concert. Still enjoy listening to her cds.

The main problem with Sade and her ilk -i.e. so-called sophisticated adult oriented jazz pop - is that at the height of her success she mainly appealed to w@nkers from Hampstead/Islington and the King's Road area of Chelsea, London who fancied themselves as being chic, cool, urban sophisticates who preferred lattes to beer. I personally find her music - all gentle bossa nova shuffles with parping saxes and fretless bass noodlings - a bit contrived. A bit of a one trick pony if truth be told not to mention a limited vocal range. Still, at least she's not Girls Aloud

The woman is beautiful and her voice is incredible, a thoughtful, talented lyricist as well.

Sade's voice is just as smooth, sultry and sexy as she is. She's stunningly beautiful and has the body of a goddess.

Incredibly smooth and soothing sound to all her stuff. Great mood music, if you know what I mean :-)

Amen to that...My dad said that you heard Sade once, you've heard them all...and frankly in recent years, the local stations have worn me out and I used to support her, now she makes me snore. ZZZZZZzzz

She has a nice voice but every thing sounds the same and I do not believe she has a lot of range.

Amazing vocals that brim with sultry passion, exquisitely framed with flavors of jazz and relaxing rhythms. CDs have always been of dependably high quality, never feeling derivative of what everyone else is doing. This has enabled songs like The Sweetest Taboo, The Kiss of Life and By Your Side to stay fresh-sounding to this day. One of the few multi-decade multiplatinum pop artists that seems to never have made a desperate stab to appear relevant. The music, like the singer, has stayed agelessly gorgeous, unique and sophisticated.

Unique and timeless voice and style. You can see or hear a Sade song or video from the 1980's and it never seems dated.

I just got into listening to Sade and she is absolutely amazing at her ability to touch your innermost feelings and bring them to the surface. That voice is amazing and she actually doesn't need a lot of range. She's the type of artist you listen to when you need to just let the heartache flow...it eases your pain to be able to just let it be. She definitly helps out with that.

Smooth Operator was written about me. Now you know the truth. Sade and I were lovers for several years but she couldn't keep up with me.

Class & jazz are underrated in rock performers but she has both & at least 5 great songs! Major props for being in the biz for over 20yrs

She has aged gracefully with her sultry voice but doesn't really release albums on a constant basis. When it comes to releasing albums, she's about as sporadic as the rock group Boston.

Beautiful and talented, this woman is one of my favorite musicians. Her sultry voice and hauntingly mellow tunes are unique and beautiful. When you want to mellow out or make love, Sade is always a good music choice.
