If you like trucks, 4WD and off road action then this is the movie for you.

While I wouldn't go so far as Bowowdownbeforeme, there's no doubt this is a bad movie. Performances are either wooden, or so hopelessly cliched as to be laughable, and the script sounds like it was written on someones coffee break.

Great graphics, but the storyline could have been a little stronger. I would have put in more background on the characters. Overall, it was a very good movie.

Pretty boring storline but very nice effects. Living through several hurricanes (I live in Florida) makes me feel for those characters :) j/k. I think it was good entertainment.

Good movie, it's pretty interesting to see how a tornado really is and what they do.

Highly unbelievable and a serious lack of plot, but still very enjoyable. Paxton and Hunt make an interesting couple.

Although flawed and scientifically inaccurate, Twister is an exciting ride throughout (what else can you expect from a film depicting the lives of 'storm chasers'?). With solid performances by Paxton and Hunt, as well as the underrated Cary Elwes, Twister is indeed thrilling. Some great (yet at times overdone) special effects, some comedy and solid action make Twister a slightly above average action/thriller.

When I first met my best friend. She really liked this movie but then she wouldn't watch it during summer because we live in the praries and she was too scared off it coming by to watch it. But now we watch it pretty often. Not the best movie but pretty good.

A big disappointment. Unrealistic, bad plotting and scripting, and really nothing more than a SFX vehicle. Helen Hunt's talents were wasted, and Bill Paxton is just not a good actor.

Kind of a weak movie with over done special effects and overacting. Few cool scenes, nothing special.

A few months ago this would have been a 4 star rating. While the movie did have some interesting characters, it took my Earth Science professor showing the film in class to point out alot of inconsistancies with information. For one, the openning scene is in 1969 when Jo's father says 'The weatherman says it is going to be an F5'. First, the Fugita scale for tornados did not come out until 1971 and it only measures monitary dammage caused AFTER a tornado has hit, so there is no way to predict an F5 in advance. Plus to get as close to the tornados as they did, rest assured they would have sucked in as well. Some good characters, very inaccurate special effects.

loved it. my best friend refused to watch it in the summer for the longest time because we live in the Canadian Praries and she was so scared that a tornado was going to come here but where we live hasn't had a tornado for over 100 years so i do not know what she is worried about.

You know, where do I begin with the pile of trash? First of all, I refuse to believe a tornado is powerful enough to whip a cow around 700 times, but isn't powerful enough to throw the truck they drive off the road. Oh, and Id swear the plot of this movie simply revolved around knocking over tornado tracking devices! Hellooooo, is there any intelligence left in Hollywood??? And I love the fact that the tornado comes, clouds are black...YET NOT ONE DROP OF FREAKIN RAIN! And if I see a tornado, I don't know about you, but I'm running the opposite direction, I sure as hell aint going to chase it down like these retarded idiots! The movie sucked!

Twister is a 1996 action-adventure disater flick starring Helen Hunt and Jamie Gertz. They are both people studying tornados and how they form, etc, and they get caught in one, but Helen's characters has invented this machine to stop it, and she tries using it but she's also on the run for her life. The movie is very, very slow, and it really doesn't get anywhere, but it may be worth a look to watch and learn how torandos do work and how they do form.

Twister is one of the most air-headed movies I've seen, but is surprisingly entertaining to watch if you're a person who likes to see stuff being broken. Industrial light and magic does some of its best and realistic visual effects work in the 90's.

I love movies where it is man vs. nature. The images of the tornados in the movie were breathtaking. I find twisters and the movie fascinating.

This is a great action movie. I love how the characters are so vivid and unique. The storyline is great; but even moreso, the special effects are awesome! Those twisters looks so real and the acting is so believeable! One of the best scenes is of course, the flying cow (watch out for it if you haven't seen it). The scene at the end of the Twister was literally unbelieveable, but it was nice nonetheless.

This was a great movie. Not only entertaining but it actually taught me a thing or two as well. It kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Not that many films can do that these days. It actually kept my attention and in the end, had my routing for the scientists. Great flick!

Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt do their usual nice acting. A pretty good movie. Nothing really all that new. Just chasin' tornadoes and beating the other team to accomplish their goal. same old, same old. Nice to see at the movie theater and then again at home. Then don't watch it again for ten years. It's just not a masterpiece.

This movie was very cool. They were being chased by a tornado. They were chasing the tornado instead of the tornado chasing them. I liked the part when they were inside the tornado.

I liked how everything in the movie seemed so real. The special effects were great and the movie was entertaining. This movie gave me a view of how a real Twister might be like. I'm glad I live in California where there are not any tornadoes.

This was a pretty good movie filled with action an great special effects. Keeps you on your edge and runs on emotions. A little bit of everything. Not worth the price at the theater, but the effects of the big screen help a lot.

Twister was an okay movie. It was entertaining and fun, but some scenes were just corny. Like the end scene when the tornado passes over them. Other than that it was okay.

Twister is good because the plot combines action and the character's emotions. It is very suspenseful because the audience does not know if the Dorothy equipment will work. It is also interesting to watch as a relationship slowly starts to crumble between Bill and Melissa as the relationship between Bill and Jo heats up. The movie also has comedy, with the characters Dusty and Meg.

The suspense in this movie was great. It had a good storyline and you got interested in the characters and it wasn't violent. I liked that not too many people died and even though the two groups were competing against each other and even hated each other, I liked that the main character still tried to save the mean guy's life.

The special effects, and the sense of comaraderie are the best things about this movie. The storyline is weak, but believable, since the effects make up for it. Has it's intense moments. Overall a good movie to see, with a good soundtrack.

I fear all natural disasters. I can't control nature and that scares me, but yet it is fascinating. I liked the action but some of it was unbelievable, scenes that made me think it wasn't real. It put my mind at ease after the movie was over, to believe that it wasn't real.

The hype for this flick is what made me give it a 3. It wasn't interesting at all. Anyone watching the movie knows how it's going to end. The final twister was tight.
