Midway is a great airport. It is in the middle of Chicago and near the loop. Route there if you can. I don't think that Midway will ever close unless Mayor Daley's wife wants it for beautification as she did for Meigs Airport next to the loop. Meigs was a great place for small planes to land.

This is a great airport. Delays are a rarity here, and all of the workers are normally nice and friendly. There are plenty of food options to eat while you wait for your plane, and the shops are great for window shopping, or buying a magazine to read before and during your flight.

Midway is a rough landing because the airstrip is only a mile long and the pilots slam on the breaks. But far less chaotic then O'Hare. Nothing fancy but it does the job.
