    Complete ripoff. We had to deal with their bullshit for 8 months where we tried to book an infant lap seat for our son. They keep on sending us to the airline, who sent us back to Yahoo travel. They lied to us all the time. Eventually, 2 weeks before traveling, we still didn't have our ticket for our son. Yahoo travel tried to first charge us $500+ for the seat, then 2 weeks before departure, they tried to charge us $1000+. 4H on the phone later, angry to not get any help and have the feeling to get ripped off, a nice lady at United airlines helped us (and she didn't have to) and booked the lap seat for us for $100 !!!!!! The lady at United told us that she has to deal a lot with people coming from Yahoo Travel all the time. Infant don't pay fuel surcharge and all the B.S they tried to charge us. Yahoo travel, on top of not helping with support guys barely speaking English, tried to take advantage of us. We will never use them again.

    I am never using Yahoo Travel again. I called to make a change and they wanted to penalize me for it, even though we were going to add nights to our stay. The one cancelled night cost me $164. If they wanted my business, they could have had several other reservations, but the penalty is more important than keeping the customer happy. The woman on the phone, didn't care at all about our wanting to add nights to the reservation. She didn't care when I asked if they cared about customer service. When I asked to talk with a supervisor she said that the supervisor was busy and could not take my call. NEVER USE YAHOO TRAVEL! JUST CALL THE HOTEL OR AIRLINE DIRECT! I clicked 1 star as terrible, but givine a star is even more than this is worth.

    This is my very first review, because I am so upset. Beware, when a growing business doesn't adjust their service to a higher demand, the service will be affected. This happened to me this week. I've been using Yahoo Travel before to book my airline tickets for my family travel with no problem. This week was a nightmare. I reserved the for group of 5 people and selected seats next to each other. Low and behold, when we checked in online 24 hrs prior to departure, all of the seats were scattered. We had to arrive early the next day and had to request for the seats to be together. This was for American airline. Luckly we were able to get seats that were together. Today I had the same problem when checking in online for our return flight. All of us are scattered again. I got so mad that I called the Yahoo travel agency. Off course they routed me to India.     What a joke of a online Travel company! I have used them for the first time and my very last time! I made a booking for a wedding in Las Vegas. I was to be there on the 6th, booked the flight have been calling them to change the flight to the 5th, My mistake for having fat fingers and pushed the wrong date. I have called them a number of times to ask for them to help me out. They cant switch the date unless I repay for the flight. I have called 4 times and everytime the price changes to Change the flight, (which there are seats available and my flight is overbooked) Prices to re book are 216.00 the first time, second and third time 325.00 and the 4th time 512.00 dollars. They can't seem to get it right either. The joke is, no body informed me of my flight change return, until I looked up my flight details today. So I NEED TO CHANGE my plans due to there mistake.     I've used Yahoo Travel for a long time. I usually find good prices and had had no trouble with them until recently, when for the first time I had to call them to make a change in my reservation (the airline could not do it because it had been reserved through a 3rd party--be aware). After a long wait I was transferred to India, where (in my experience) staff is often not well trained on American-style customer service. The guy was rude and accused me of "violating the site's policies" when I explained the change was for a minor who had been booked as an adult because the site would not give me another option (I've had to do this before, and after booking I call the airline to make them aware and pay any unaccompanied minor's fee- never had any problems before). I was of course not aware that it was "a violation" (no warning popped up when I attempted to do it), and I was offended by the guy's tone.     I hate Yahoo Travel. Prices are not any better (actually, worse than airlines' own websites), seat assignments are awful, and phone calls to their customer service end up with long periods on hold. I won't use them again!

    DON'T DO IT! We found that there is zero accountability or communication with Yahoo travel service. We are seasoned travelers, so we know things happen, and just want to share and warn others about what we learned the hard way about Yahoo travel. Double charged for the package - once by Yahoo and again by the rental car once we arrived, and for whatever reason for the returning flight back. The flight seats had not been reserved properly, so the airline themselves rearranged our flights for 48 hours after our departure date. Yahoo was not available - every time we called reached a different outsourced agency. None of these agencies could access our info thru our Yahoo travel confirmation number as they only have access to info for the pasengers they book. (There are hundreds of agencies Yahoo books through- so no single coordinating source available to correct any issues or mistakes) We worked for months to bring this to Yahoos attention and never got any response.     It gives prices, but much of the time they lack sufficient information such as travel times...etc. It does not provide customers with choices of seating, or times of arrivals and departures.

    I've compared airline ticket prices on Yahoo Travel and other online travel agencies and Yahoo had higher prices almost every time. However, it was easy to use and the 24 hour hold feature is a nice addition to the website.

    The only thing bad about this website is how much stuff there is on it. You can get lost too quickly, but you'll definately be able to find whatever you want.
