A great example of good looks compensating for lack of intelligence. Who needs brains when you can be on a crappy reality show, marry a sports star, then get a slot on daytime TV giving your worthless opinion for money! As if this vapid harpy being on The View wasn't enough: now America gets to listen to her drivel on GMA. Advice to ABC execs: put down the crack pipe and back away slowly.

I am no fan of hers. if she won the contest over hundreds of applicants, to be on this show , i would wonder what they were looking for. she comes off prissy and miss know it all. and goody two shoe. unless the other applicants were just like Debbie M. not sure what they see in her. her voice is irritating she talks too fast.  UPDATE  I was glad she was gone for two months. did not miss her at all. Dang now she will be back Monday. I do not watch the view everyday and will watch less now.UPDATE:  at least they have Whoopi to give it back to her. I love watching that.  especially when she tries and passes herself off as this I understand everything saint.  i am glad to see she annoys others as well.UPDATE: this know it all goody two shoes still irritates me. she thinks George Bush was the best president ever and gets all pissy if anyone cuts him down.hell she even defends octomom. and her"rights".

ABC, get rid of this looser. I quit watching the view because she is so ignorant. Real life Clueless in this time slot. I bet that The Views ratings would sky rocket if she was removed! I know I would start watching it again.

I like Elisabeth so long as she is a true conservative and not faking it. It is like the show forces her sometimes to say things that may not be her real beliefs. Like talking nicely about Obama after he won the election or telling Rachael Maddow how nice she is. She can be friendly, but she should not cave into principals. She is a good woman, but if she would have stood up for Beck and Coulter when they came on her show it would have not made her disliked by the right as much as the left. They would rather have Michelle Malkin or E.D. Hill join the show and replace her. I have to defend her with all sides at times. Because every one wants her to shut up or shout out the others. It is a shame. This show might have been better if politics were never an issue. But since it is, I am happy Elisabeth is young conservative woman. Need more of them on tv. Thus I love her. She is a patriot. She is a beautiful smart person. I'm tired of the leftists slant. People like Joy Behar, Whop... Read more

Please, Please get rid of her, I can no longer watch the View...... She's an idiot, at least get someone on there, to equal the intellect of the other women. She thinks she speaks for the majority of women, she's rude, offensive, and most often wrong in her views, and her voice sends me right over the edge.......... Replace her soon, before you lose all of your viewers.

The numbers have spoken for themselves. The one stars win. The five stars, well, ummmmm, I guess there's always a few of those in every family! Hopefully Elisabeth reads some of this. Or hopefully she has a friend that will sit her down and explain it to her.

I wish Eliz HassleBITCH would just leave already. She is a complete joke, ignorant, a complete waste of Oxygen in my opinion. She is rude, closed minded, talks over people to shove her beliefs down the guests and co-hosts throats, has a screwed up take on reality and might as well be living in the 1960's. She just needs to stay home be barefoot and pregnant and spew her opinions at her cowering in the corner emasculated sperm producing only husband. But tell me how you REALLY feel. LOL

Hasselbeck is a living disgrace. I can't bear her and no longer watch The View due to her shrill, argumentative idiocy and her arrogance. Now she's plagiarizing and this doesn't surprise me at all. A waste of space. A complete twit.

She annoys the hell out of me. She will not listen to anyone else's opinion without arguing if it differs from hers. She pretends to know what she is talking about but most of the time she just comes across as dumb. The only one I like is joy. Whoopi irritates me on the show.

Mrs. Elisabeth Hasselback is a disgrace to television. In a hot issue, she is always wrong. She believes that a woman should forfeit her rights to her own body and that the "next day pill" should be illegal due to her "belief" that life starts the minute sperm enters the body of a woman. Please. It may be her prerogative to have three babies, but not everyone can afford or would like that. She is someone who inadvertently (through stupidity) leads to more usurping of my rights as an individual and I hate her for that. In every debate she looks to justify the war in Iraq and waterboarding, seeing no principles whatsoever in anything but her own morally bankrupt ideas that were directly taken from another news source with out any applied thinking. She looks at every idea differently, as any loyal pragmatist would, and is utterly incapable of seeing any principle in anything whatsoever - even if her life depended on it. For example, she just debated Jesse Ventura, a principled man, and ar... Read more

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is one of the most ignorant women. She is a very close-minded human being that never sees her own shortcomings much less another opinion. Thank GOD she falls in the 33% group. Where would our country be if that were the majority!!!! How did her husband ever marry someone so immature? Someone should buy her the book Personal Development for Smart People: The Conscious Pursuit of Personal Growth. Though I'm not sure she would understand it.

She's the worst. Just the worst. How she has the job she has is incomprehensible to me. Everything about her drives me nuts. I stopped watching the show because of her. I could care less about her political views, she just comes across as such a nasty human being and just SOOOOOO self-absorbed. She also seems super competitive - which is irritating. Nothing is wrong with competition - it's just that she comes across as a sore loser. With the way the economy is going, etc., nobody wants to tune in to see a self-absorbed, sore-loser. She comes across as such an angry person that she can't even see how fortunate she is. People like that drive me nuts!

As a former republican (Obama changed that for me, and George Bush) I can understand and empathize with the religious right-republican view of the world. I don't think this girl (does she strike anyone as a woman?) represents good, honest republicans in any way. She doesn't seem to care about others who are less fortunate, I feel because being handed good looks and I am guessing wealthy paarents, (if she hadn't been she would be a bit more tolerant) she feels that everyone has had the easy life she has. She can't understand what it feels like to be black, gay, fat, ugly or anything besides *petite blonde middle-class cheerleader* in this country that worships exactly what she is. I do understand why she would have this VIEWpoint. I do think it would broaden her horizon to wear a fat suit or black face for about a week, or be dropped in the getto wearing a fat suit and black face and be forced to go wait at the foodstamp office for an appointment, then stand in line at the groce... Her voice is just so irritating and she speaks so fast that even if she did say something someone wanted to hear, you would be put off by that. I can't believe she got upset that she was called a Dumb Broad, by that Wright guy (dont like him either), after all the bad things she says daily about just about everyone. I only watch the show for Whoopi, but I wish they would let Elisabeth go and replace her with a more rational conservative person

It isn't her political views that are annoying. Honestly it is HER that is almost unbearable.. It doesn't matter what the topic most things that come out of her mouth is pure ignorance and arrogance. Last week she spoke of Depak Chopra and referred to him as "glitter glasses what's his face" and said that he needs to go burn a bowl of insence. Yes she apologized the next day but it was LAME! Not that Elisabeth ever could be enlightened because her head is too far up her own ass but referring to someone like Depak as she did just proves her ignorance and disrespect for people. I can't wait for the day the view gets rid of her.

I like elizabeth hasselbeck, and I'm a democrat. You know who's narrow minded? all the people in America who refuse to accept that there IS another way political party and they're not all evil and ignorant. The republican viewpoint has setbacks, obviously, but it also embodies many POSITIVE values. A BALANCE between the liberal and conservative views is what keeps out country centered and lately, any celebrity who's a republican is totally bashed. Elizabeth H. has a big set of ball to be in hollywood and speak her mind as openly as she does, even though they ridicule WHILE she's speaking on the view just because they don't agree with her...(that's like ridiculing someone of a different religion while they're expressing their views) - even if what they say seems silly to you, it's important to THEM and to all the people in that religion, or in this case the political party. her voice is the same opinion as millions of americans! she has no political power, why can't we just let he... Completely annoying! Today I finally had enough of her. She actually complained about Obama having "President Elect" signs and now that the election is over so she doesn't know how she feels about him presenting himself like a product. Is this chic serious? In the same breath she claimed to have an advertising background. Woopie did set her straight but I get sick and tired of her picking on the most ridiculous things day after day. She has become increasingly inappropriate and annoying. I understand that the show is called "THE VIEW" for a reason and that they are supposed to give their opinions on topics but this miss priss is just confrontational and picks the most ridiculous topics to even bring up. Honestly I've had enough so I switch to the TODAY show on NBC just to get away from her. At least Kathie Lee has a sense of humor and actually helps people in her free time instead of playing fashion diva. Hesselbeck really needs a reality check. It's a shame to have such great talent i... Read more

I also had to give one star because it made me..I literally want to vomit when she speaks. Has anyone ever seen her roll her eyes or purse her lips whenever someone even begins to utter something not in favor of a Republican or positive about a Democrat? However, if someone does that to her..watch out! I think she is a discusting, horrible person and I hope she leaves the View!! I think she is only still on because they hope her looks draw in male viewers..which would work until she opens up her mouth!

Please get rid of her. Everytime she speaks I just want to cringe. She is ignorant and just spouts the religious right sermons that control the republican party. Please don't tell us how religious you are and then in the next sentence you tell us you are voting for a party that does not care for people who less fortunate. I am a very hard working and alway have been but if being liberal means I care about others than call me a liberal.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck completely embodies the typical Republican mindset of this election. Look at the comments section of any news site, local or national, and you'll see postings that sound as though she could have written them. There's the YELLING IN ALL CAPS, the hurling of ridiculous untruths, the intolerance of others' beliefs or any attempt to have a reasonable discussion. I think The View should have different points of view represented, but if the conservative side can't come up with anyone better than this, I wouldn't bother.

UPDATE:  Rumours swirl about of her intention to resign from the View in frustration at being the sole conservative voice among the liberal majority.  I think the obvious career move that she is planning has been completyely overlooked, she's preparing to run for the office of Governor of Alaska.ORIGINAL: She is a case study in career planning for students majoring in communications - sit still in the makeup chair and don't move around too much when on camera.  Ennunciate when reading the teleprompter and smile but not too much.  Have your demo reel ready and when you get some good national exposure, get it in the mail to every media outlet - PRONTO!  It should take more than that to make it as a broadcaster, but we're not exactly living in the golden age of substance over style.

She has one very narrow point of view and she's disrespectful, shrill, sarcastic, loud and she talks over people ... and she pouts like a petulant child when confronted with reality! Honestly, is she worth the downgrading of young intelligent women of America? I never watched the view, as far as I can tell it is typically a platform for has-beens like the slut Barbara Walters who easily admits to knowingly having an affair with a married man (oh, let's not just dig the knife into the wife's back, little miss feminist)... and who the hell was Star Jones before, during or after the show?I could care less about Whoopi who talks about there being in a different world- she's one to talk, if it wasn't for the world of America that gave her an opportunity to suceed she may well be washing Obama's brother's undies in that hut of his in Kenya.Rosie O? Since when does that hairy-backed behemouth have anything positive to say about anyone who's not the crazy Tom Cruise?Hasselbeck is the most realistic of the lot, which is probably why she comes off as weak- who in their right mind could possibly compete with some of the assanine comments the other hosts are making? It's totally emblematic of mainstream media and entertainment that some talentless, moronic pinhead who was a contestant on one of those inane and ridiculous reality TV shows can then be offered a contract to appear on a daily talk show, beating out hundreds of applicants, most of whom, I imagine, had at least two brain cells.  That's one more than this dimwit apparently has.  She isn't bad-looking, in a greasy, plastic, cheezy sort of way, but the instant she opens her mouth, it's Dramamine time for anyone unfortunate enough to be tuning in.  She's really, really, really cosmic stupid and ill-informed, poisoned by jackass rightwing ideology, immature and shrill.  But, then again, consider the program she's on.  Ironically enough, she might be a perfect fit for that daily exercise in menstrual flow.  And really, does anyone actually watch "The View?"  That show goes on at 9:00 or 10:00 a.m., depending on the market.  Shouldn't most people be in work at that time?  Oh yeah, I forgot.  I... Our Canadian federal election was held on October 14, 2008.  I did not vote Liberal. I voted Conservative.  So, in answer to your question/statement I do not align myself with Liberal ideology.  Everyone around the table has made some questionable statements; however, from an outsider looking in...Elisabeth stands out with her unwillingness to see another point of view.  I'm not saying she has to agree with that point of view, but Communications 101 talk me the most important part of a conversation is the ability to listen.

I have opinions, but I also have the capacity to LISTEN and learn about the things I DON'T know...AND admit when I'm wrong, or need to change my opinion. She's STUPID, narrowminded [giving her credit for having a mind], loud, obnoxious, and has NO MANNERS. She's the worst thing to TV EVER! They should fire her and get someone that has a brain. I couldn't rate her "0" here, so I gave her 1 star....I think there should be NEGATIVE numbers on here for Elizabeth Hasselbeck.  Is -100 low enough for Lizzy??  I think it's more like -500 with the 5 stars....a -5 would be perfect! She's getting worse by the day.
