I don't know how their service is, but the very name sounds like it was concocted by one of those " It's ok for men to show their feelings too" d-bags.

I've always wondered if its the same two men in every city or if they are all related in some way. I've also wondered if my insurance covers me for liability if some guy croaks while moving my piano, especially given that he had clearly disclosed that he had an enlarged heart and may or may not be receiving medical attention for it. I may get them to sign a waiver, regardless. Or better yet, get some of my daughter's football player friends to move my piano for a case of beer.

I dated one of the movers of TSM in Winnipeg. He was always bringing home items he 'found' I always questioned him about it. How does someone 'find' gold jewelry, fans, furniture & cash?? I realize people do give away things when moving but every day? I left him because he was a violent drunk, but how many days did I see him driving this huge, unregistered 30ft truck while drunk? The owner is a scumbag who hides his assets in other people's names to avoid having to pay child support! I bet I know where everyone's lost items are. They're in the pawnshops of Winnipeg. That's how they do it & they fudge every invoice to make extra cash. The boss probably knows but doesn't do anything about it so what does that say? They take your stuff, give it to their girlfriends or go to the pawnshops & sell/pawn the items. I can only imagine how many other items he 'found' that I didn't know about...

If there was an option to give zero stars without being considered as not rating it, I would give this company zero stars. What a nightmare!! Because their price was the least expensive, I decided to use them for my move and my dad's move. First off, they switched the quotes for my move with my dad's. The shipments had to be re-calculated without them switching the rate altogether (total weight for my stuff and my dad's stuff were quite different). When I discovered this, I called them to have the rates switched. I thought that that was rather irresponsible, but since this confusion was fixed quickly, I let it go. Now, I had SPECIFICALLY asked the movers to schedule a drop-off at a certain date for my dad's things. They forgot and deliver to his new address a week early. Now, I was bothered. But hey, they recognized that this was their fault, so they didn't charge for the re-delivery. However, re-scheduling the drop-off date was awful. They came two days later than the date they had ... Mississauga, I wish I had done my homework before hiring these lying thieves and crackheads.........hired them to do a move and had the same experience that everyone else here did.......The owner Jeff Green is a real lying piece of work whose only purpose in dealing with you if you can reach him, is to put you off and wear you down with his bull shit until you fade away while he continues to screw the public.....worst part is the government agencies are aware there frauds and let them continue to operate!!!........If you hire a mover and one of TSMs trucks pull up kick them off the property and call the police if they won't go...........which is what I should have done at the end of this nightmare move!!! Those posting positive experiences are employees or family members! My home was wrecked furniture put through walls etc. furniture broken and damaged at the end of the move....... Lied to repeatedly by these fly by night fraudsters when trying to put in an insurance claim with the... Read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Made a reservation online, then was unable to get a hold of anyone on the phone after that and nobody returned our messages. They didn't show up on the day of our move, forcing us to hire someone else at the last minute. To top it all off, they kept our several hundred dollar deposit and yelled at us on the phone when we finally did get a hold of someone. This was the worst retail experience of my life... hire anyone else before you hire this company. Great Canadian Van Lines did a great job for us.

TSM KAMLOOPS, the owner Bill is a shyster. He failed to properly assess the size of the load, and showed up with a Budget truck, and ended up leaving half of our stuff. In which then claimed that we would have to pay double for all of our stuff to be moved. Him and the crew didnt show up prepared with tools to take apart our furniture, so I had to get a friend to come over to bring some. Then when he and the crew got to my new house they claimed they couldnt move some of my furniture up the stairs, not even my couches! So I called the landlord, and asked her how all of her furniture was taken out of the house (she had a full house of stuff) and she said they just made it work, and the couches would have to be lifted over the railing. After I told them that her movers had got her couches out and I expected to have mine in the living room, they didnt bring anything up the stairs after that. They piled everything in the basement, and I had strategically colour coated all the boxes so they... Read more

If you're reading this page because you've already hired 2 Small Men and your delivery is now late and now you're worried and panicking because most of the online reviews are horribly negative... Don't panic. I hired 2 Small Men for a local move in my hometown a few years ago and was thoroughly impressed. They were on time, handled my belongings with care, were clean, quick and courteous. Which is why I hired them again when I recently moved to another province. That experience wasn't exactly as stellar, but they did make up for it. My shipment was 2 weeks late at arrival. While it was frustrating, stressful and upsetting for the duration, they did give me a fair discount. The movers themselves were amazing. They were fun, quick, clean and courteous. Not one item was missing. Not a single dish was broken in the long distance haul. Late shipments happen with every moving company out there, especially with long distance hauling. When a company sends out a 70ft semi, there will be mor... Read more

I had a very small move of approx. 50 boxes, 2 statues, and a white sofa. AMJ Campbell and Two Men and a Truck priced my move at $900 with 3 men. I thought it was high, and I went with this cheaper company for $600. However, little could I imagine just how much I would pay at the end of the night. They arrived an hour late. My elevator was booked for a limited time. It was clear that they were not professional movers from the minute they arrived. They had no idea how to carry a box, and they were very out of shape. They had a truck that was too small, and they brought no padding or wrap for my white sofa and statues as promised by the man who booked it. They were careless with the boxes, and they did not want to move the statues. They suggested I get someone else to do it. Of course, it was moving day and they could not be left behind. The owner had said I did not need extra insurance for the statues, since they had lots of experience. I finally phoned the owner when I watched my white... Read more

I used this company in Ontario for a simple local move. The movers showed up 6 hours late and one of them was clearly intoxicated. I had no confidence in them and asked them to leave. They then proceeded to bill my credit card for a move they never did and added additional charges. Complete crooks.

First off every bad review you read on this company is true. 1st - They could not determine a pick up date. Every time I spoke to their office they said my furniture was getting picked up in 2 days. This went on for 2 weeks before my furniture was actually picked up. 2nd - Delivery date also could not be determined. I was told delivery a certain date but the furniture showed up 1.5 weeks later. 3rd - They contract my move out to a company called Group Sun Moving. 4th - The movers tried to charge myself an extra $200 for the move. Reason being they lied about the weight of my furniture. I weighted my furniture before the move since I had my furniture stored in a storage unit. 5th - Any piece of wood furniture I owned has been damaged. Also many glass objects where broken and I packed all my glass items in original packaging with extra cushion so they would not be broken. Also the glass items where just not broken but smashed to little bits like the boxes where through again a wall ... Read more

I recently posted some negative comments about a moving company named RitewayMovers in Edmonton, Alberta. This is the company that advertises on this website. I would like to retract all my comments as I mistakenly identified this company. The company that I had a bad experience with in Edmonton, Alberta is named AAA Rightway Moving...NOT RitewayMovers. My sincere apologies to all parties involved.

We moved from Winnipeg to Saskatoon with these guys. They promised same-day delivery. Never happened. We were to move Friday morning. They showed up late, damaged a screen door at the place we were moving out of, damaged virtually every piece of furniture we moved with them (thank goodness we took our valuables with us in the car), and showed up late Saturday night. Nobody at the company knew where our driver was that whole time until he just suddenly showed up with his girlfriend, who was not an employee, to move our stuff in. At one point she ran and tripped up the stairs carrying a painting! Totally unprofessional from start to finish. And we got $100 back for our troubles with the response "take it or leave it." A few months later CBC TV did a spot on this company. Apparently we got off pretty good-some people reported completely smashed furniture or lost goods. Next time we're renting a U-haul.

I used this company as many had suggested it with great reviews. I moved from Edmonton to Winnipeg. It was one of the more cheaper ones, but only if you have a certain weight. I used their online tool to receive a quote and they doubled my weight for what i really had. They failed to tell me that they had a starting limit, and i was not impressed with this. They should have informed me before i paid the deposit, but i got it figured out on the phone. The person i was given to talk to about any of my questions or concerns absolutely sucked!! He never called be back when i called him, nor did he answer any of my questions. The Ken guy when you call the company sucked as well...he was absolutely horrible!! But both the drivers, the ones from Edmonton and Winnipeg were both awesome!! They were super careful with all my stuff and took no time to move my stuff. They were all super funny and great to talk to, not to mention really nice and helpful. The coordinator in Winnipeg was a... Read more

In my opinion, it seems unfair to include Total Service Moving as part of the CBC broadcast as it was not the office involved in the complaint. It has been my experience that not all customers will have a desirable move no matter what lengths a business goes to in order to please them. But I can also tell you with the percentage of moves that are done in this country on an given day these men and women in the moving industry should be praised and not faulted. Once I finished writing my review I thought I would include a few of the comments I had found on the web. They are as follows: To Whom It May Concern: Can you please extend a big thank you to Jordan and James who moved us last Friday. They arrived one hour early which I appreciate because I believe in " Underpromise and Overdeliver". They did just that. They were polite, conscientious, steady workers and very responsible. I had some concerns after seeing the feedback on the web about Two Small Men with Big Hearts and shared tho... Read more

I wish I had read all of these comments before I hired TSM Moving Ltd. (Total Service Moving), also known as "Two Small Men With Big Hearts Moving". TSM Movers Ltd.: - Improperly explained and misrepresented their insurance policies before the move began - Almost completely destroyed our downstairs stairwell while moving a couch - Damaged a number of furniture items - Overcharged by several hours (i.e. charged when no work was being done) - Movers exhibited unprofessional, unethical behavior - Office agreed to accept complaint, but later lied and said I had submitted my complaint too late Have you seen their BBB rap sheet? http://www.bbb.org/calgary/business-reviews/moving-and-storage-companies/tsm-total-service-moving-in-calgary-ab-36439 Googling also reveals a CBC article and hundreds of disgruntled customers, complaining about their shady practices: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2010/02/02/bc-twosmallmen.html Do yourself a favor and AVOID AT ALL COSTS... USED THEM TO MOVE BEDROOM FURNITURE FROM MY HOUSE TO MY SISTER'S HOUSE NEXT DOOR! THEY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVE TO TELL US THAT THE FURNITURE WAS WAY TOO HEAVY AND THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO MOVE ANYMORE. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY OF MY MONEY BACK (EVEN THOUGH THEY ONLY MOVED FOR A FEW HOURS!) FOR PROFESSIONAL MOVERS, THEY DID NOT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO FURNITURE AROUND DOORWAYS AND SCRATCHED A LOT OF THE FURNITURE! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE OR USE THEM EVER, EVER AGAIN....I WAS VERY IRATE AND DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR SERVICE!

TERRIBLE - they ate food out of our cupboards when we weren't home (spilling food on the floor without evening having the courtesy of cleaning it up)!!!!! They ate an entire jar of homemade pickles and shoved the empty container in the back of our cupboard!! - The movers had no idea how to pack a box, we actually had to teach someone how to effectively pack books. - They set off the security alarm in our storage locker and when the police came, the driver had no driver's license!!! - They broke a number of items - When they moved our belongings into our new hours they were hours late and then loudly complained about having to work in the afternoon. They also used incredibly foul language. - And what has finally pushed me to write this review: today we finished the last of the unpacking and every single cymbal from our drum set is no where to be found. I'm not accusing anyone of stealing but to leave clearly expensive items available for another to walk by and steal is unprofe... Read more

I wish I had read these reviews before hiring this company. We recently used Two Small Men for our move from Ottawa to Vancouver, including 4 months of storage in between the moves. We ended up paying more than twice what they quoted us. Even the "rate per pound" was higher on the final invoice. They did not bill us at all for the storage but instead put through an unauthorized charge to our credit card, again at a rate twice what they originally quoted us. They were two weeks late with delivery and many of our items are still missing, in addition to the items that arrived damaged. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I recently hired TSM, now calling itself Total Services Moving, for a crosstown move. It was a relatively small job (2 beds (1 king, 1 full), 3 couches, TV, dining room set, bookshelves, dishes, clothing, some papers in boxes) that the movers dragged out for over 13 hours total. They would have gone longer had I not jumped in and insist on them stepping up the pace. I also started to move boxes myself. I intervened after spending 3 hours unloading my stuff at its destination, the lead worker told me they were "half" finished. After I did so, they closed out the job in 60 minutes. If you sign with them (not recommended) avoid an hourly rate and monitor closely.

I had a move by this company recently and was dismayed to find out after a few days that a small amount of U.S. money was stolen from one of my dresser drawers. They were in a little zipped case (some bills and change). I noticed the theft (after the move) when I went into my top drawer and found the change laying there loose in the drawer, the case was opened and the U.S. bills were missing but not the change. I had forgotten about this money and in hind-sight, should have taken the money out to bring with my other personal items but does that excuse somebody rummaging through your personal clothing in the hopes of finding something to steal. Which in fact they did. Petty thieves. I wrote to their customer service and after a month they replied to me saying that they asked the movers about it and (of course) they denied taking the money, that they've been with the company for a long time and this is the first complaint of this nature against them, blah, blah. I don... Read more

Ok, first of all, they loaded my stuff in early september saying they would deliver it from winnipeg to northern ontario within two weeks and signed a contract to that effect. And I waited and I waited and my wife called every day for weeks until I finally did and threatened them with legal action.... this was in late NOVEMBER. When my stuff finally got to my house it was on a wednesday at 1 A.M. and the truck drivers didn't speak word of english. What was worse was that they weren't even from Two Small Men, they were from another company who had "purchased the contract". For shame.... for shame, the only positive was I left winnipeg....

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This is a warning. 6 weeks late on our move. Left several messages with branch offices all over the country, no callbacks....nothing. We thought we had lost everything, until one day (6 weeks after promised date) they showed up out of the blue. As the goods were being unloaded, we noticed deep scratches on our dining room table and a large tear in our couch! Please do your research (read below) and look elsewhere. The postivie comments below are obviously folks affiliated with the company. The comments are all so similar. BBB warns consumers, as so do the several thousand unhappy customers. JWG. The facts do not lie.

Beware of this company, the owners and the franchises uses fake or "stage" names. That's why you can never track them down. This is an outright fraudulent/con operation. Both Ontario's Ministry of Consumer and Relations and Movers/Trade Associations have deemed them untrustworthy see: http://www.consumerbeware.mgs.gov.on.ca. They are on the Consumers Beware List, not to mention the Better Business Bureau.  The sad parts is that I read somewhere that the owners are ex Ontario Provincial Police officers?

Realizing that this is a franchised company all across Canada, I see that 'dschmuhl' didn't even state the office location of the movers. If your things didn't all fit in one load, perhaps you weren't completely honest with how much you had when the move was booked.

Wow !!! Lots of negative stuff here...anyway... We just had a move done in Toronto by Wayne and Max. They were great! They were courteous and very efficient. We have a lot of old and very heavy furniture that we were concerned about. They told us not to worry and that they would take care of us. They moved our stuff in a very reasonable amount of time and nothing got damaged! I would recommend these two any day !!! Thanks guys

So I used the moving company two small men with big heart to move half my house into my new condo and the other half into a self storage locker. I booked 3 guys about a month in advance, I had even received a phone call the day prior to the move confirming a 9:00am start time. Well by 9:30 still no movers so I decided to call the office, no sooner did I call they were in my drive way. So a rough start to say the least. The driver apologized for his arrival and got right to work... they must have felt bad about being ate because within a few hours my house was in the back of their truck. They managed to deliver all my belongings to both my storage then my condo in one piece. Overall i was happy with the job they did and will recommend them to friends. Jason Felte

Re. Two Small Men with Big Hearts Moving - Double billing scam. DO NOT use this company. I, and my friends - a couple - moved in August using this company. We moved a week apart into a house that we share in Toronto. Apart from various horrors like turning up late, inexperienced staff, damaging a piano, not being able to fit a third of my friends' goods on the truck, I found out a week ago that the company double-billed all of us for the balance of each of our moving bills. I went to the company's office last week and confronted the accounting person, Julie Blake. After an hour and a half on the phone with MasterCard, TD Bank and MasterCard again I got my money back plus saw what their scam is. It boils down to a loophole that they are taking advantage of. The moving company has something called a TD Freedom 4 terminal which they use to post all their credit card sales to their TD bank. The day after my move, they put through the balance owing on my move through their Freedom ... Read more

We had the Oshawa franchise move us last year. In addition to scratched furniture and being charged for an additional truck because they did not properly assess the size of the load, the movers helped themselves to one TAG and one Swiss Military watch totalling $2500. Needless to say the office was less than helpful. The report is filed with the Toronto Police 21 division. Frankly these are the items that were obvious, I don't know what else they may have taken. THESE PEOPLE CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!

When I was searching for a moving company that would move me from Toronto to Thunderbay I was was looking through all of these reviews and noticed that the only people that seemed to write on these boards were the angry ones. Every company seemed to have bad reviews so i turned to friends that had moved. Two small me with big hearts moving was recommended to me. Seeing as how trusted friends had good thing to say about them i decided to try them out. My move went great! The 2 men that showed up did a quick walk through of the house, then started to wrap furniture and pack the truck. Two days later they met my son and i in Thunderbay and quickly off loaded the truck. I would just like to say thank you. Alex R

Avoid TSM Moving Calgary and Toronto like a PLAGUE! They promised to pick up my things on July 10, they came July 11. They promised to deliver my things on July 18, then July 19, then July 21, then July 25, then July 28, then Juyl 31, then Aug 4, then told me that they are still not certain as to when my things will be delivered. TSM moving Ltd (Calgary and Toronto) is DECEIPTIVE, using using Consumers' Choice Award as their front to deceive customers.
