This is quite an ingenius gameshow that never quick found it's niche with the viewers. A little too cerebral for the "Fear Factor" crowd, and a little too loud for the regular gameshow fans. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The host helped of course...

I watched this show once and think it is the worst piece of crap I have ever seen. It featured two girls in bikinis one climbing a fake coconut tree and the other jumping off a platform into water. The favorite camera angle was from the rear showing how the swim suit bottom was riding up the cracks of their asses. This show would have been better if the water tank wwas filled with crocodiles. That way the collective IQ of humanity would have been raised especially if some of the audience had been thrown in to boot. Anyone liking this show has to be a moron.

Tis is a good show. My favorite episode was when a girl had to throw a football and if she missed the target she would have to remove one peice of clothing. She ended up leaving the show completely naked. I would have LOVED to be in that audience!

I would like to see the money split a little different. The top dog is the Top Dog. Who ever is the Top dog is garenteed $5000.00 leaving the dog pound $20,000.00 to split if they win making it $4000.00 each. This way the top dog is awarded for their efforts and strategy and everyone has a chance to walk away with a little cash. If the dog pound can't beat the top dog at the end then the top dog gets the whole $25,000.00.

OK-I'll be honest-I mostly watch it because of Brook and the female contestants. (A very attractive contetsant taking off her bra playing strip darts-love to see the outake) Some of the stunts are easer than others-but then so are they on Fear Factor.

At the end... the person who is the "Top Dog" should be able to choose to either answer the question him/herself or ask the dog pound the question. This would make it a lot more fair for the top doggy.

Who's moronic idea was it to remove the stripping games from the second season? Don't the producers realize that this was a big reason much of their audience watched the show? I didn't realize what a silly show this actually was until they decided to not have any more stripping. I wonder if someone with serious hang-ups "complained" or if this was a lame attempt to make the show more "family-oriented". Grow up! People watch this show for the sex appeal of the contestants. Silly stunts on their own aren't going to keep the show alive.

Does anybody know why Devon quit the show after the final challenge on the episode where he and Duane had to hold their breaths underwater? He had an ego the size of a small planet and I can't help wondering if he was so humiliated by losing that he couldn't face being relegated to the dogpound. I love it when the loudmouths lose....

(6/28/02) Actually I would rate it closer to Good than Great, but I thought I would give it the "benefit" for now. I liked Mondays show quite a bit, especially the strip golf. I thought that was a great touch and it (or similar ideas) should be made a staple of the show. Brooke should have tried a little harder to get the guy to go all the way, like by letting him get even closer than the naked line or by offering him a guaranteed cash amount. The reactions of the other players was great during this part also. In general I think this show has as much potential as fear factor if the network doesn't wuss-out like they have on other shows like bb. So far I like Brooke because she seems very down to earth not like other stars who are so full of themselves. (Added 7/3/02):: Darknight, I was thinking exactly the same thing about the JRR Tolkien crap. That poor guy got screwed. I agree with most of your comment, but I think some adjustments just need to be made. Obviously, this sho... Read more

I think most of the negative comments here are way off base. Yes, they did screw up allowing the "Roosevelt" answer. But anyone who thinks the physical challenges are easy just hasn't been watching much. You try holding your breath underwater for over 90 seconds! Get your butt out there and climb the rope in a heavy downpour in under 2 minutes! I'm pretty athletic, but I know I'd have some problems with some of those challenges. Anyone who says they're all easy is either in excellent shape (say Delta Force level), just not paying attention or deluded. Yes the host, Brooke Burns, has to read the same tired rules every week for anyone watching who might be new. Yes, they're off a cue card. It doesn't mean she's an idiot. But the show is STILL a lot of fun, and Brooke is a fantastic host. Besides being so sexy, I think it's great that she can be a person, rather than just a personality. So she can clown with the contestants, put her arm around them, etc. She MAKES this show... Read more

It's a cool show. People rate this is a great show or I'll come over there and put my foot down on you. This is a great show. Some people went to the extreme like being naked on national TV like that one girl stripping while throwing footballs. Or even special editions like the Playboy Edition and Reality TV edition. Screw all the ones who dissed this show: GET A LIFE!

I HAVE TO POINT OUT THE INACCURACIES OF THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON THS SHOW, AT LEAST 2 OF WHICH I HAVE PERSONALLY OBSERVED SINCE TH SHOW STARTED, ONE AS RECENT AS THIS WEEK'S SHOW: 1. THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WAS *NOT* JOHN ADAMS - HE WAS THE 2ND PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. GEORGE WASHINGTON WAS THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF HTE UNITED STATES. 2. THE 39TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WAS *NOT* FDR, THOUGH HE DID GIVE THE QUOTE FROM THE INAUGURAL SPEECH. THE 39TH PRESIDENT OF THE US WAS JIMMY CARTER. PLEASE CHECK YOUR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS MORE THOROUGHLY IN THE FUTURE. AS A HISTORY MAJOR, I FIND THESE GAFFS TO BE OFFENSIVE, NOT TO MENTION POTENTIALLY EMBARRASSING, SHOULD SOMEONE GIVE THE ACTUAL CORRECT ANSWER AND YOU COUNT THEM WRONG ON THE AIR. THANK YOU.

I don't feel that overall the show is terrible. I watched for the first time on 7/29/02. I enjoyed the show all the way up to the end. The final question was about which president they were quoting. The quote was "we have nothing to fear, but fear itself." Now the person in the dogpound gave a partially correct answer. He said Roosevelt. Now since there were two presidents with the last name Roosevelt I expected the hostess to ask him to clarify. Or at least the execs letting them know that this was an incomplete answer. Personally I think that the question should have been thrown out and a new one asked. I believe that Duane was cheated out of $25,000 and that he should be rewarded accordingly. I don't know if it is right to take back the money that you have already awarded to the dog pound. I do believe that Duane should receive the $25,000 that he would have most likely won that night. I am extremely disappointed with how the show turned out and I don't know if I will wa... Read more

Duane got robbed. That muscle head said Rosevelte but didnt specify which one. Theodor or FDR. If the hostess was as smart as she is HOT she would have caught that mistake they made.

I watched the show for the 1st time on July 29th. I thought it was pretty cute until the final answer. When muscle man hesitantly answered the question "Roosevelt", I assumed the host would ask him to be more specific (considering the fact that there were 2 presidents named Roosevelt). At the very least, the show should have awarded the final contestant share of the prize money! This certainly should be corrected!!!

The show of 7/29/02 was a complete farce! That last answer was rediculous. That muscle head could not get away with just saying Roosevelt! I bet he didnt even know there were two presidents with that name. The execs of this show should have asked for him to specify which one. He would have been lost! And what about Brook?? She should also have known. What a major network screw up that was!! I'll give this 5 DUHS!!!

Hello, I would like to comment on the show that aired July 29, 2002. I have only seen 3 episodes of the show. I enjoyed it until the show that aired on the 29th. The young man was up against the Dog Pound and the Last question was; which President stated in his speech, Fear Not but Fear Itself? The young man in the Dog Pound stated- Roosevelt. This is correct, but which one. There are two of them. Now, you tell me who researches the answers for the show. Are do they think the people watching the show are completely clueless. I challenge you to prove me wrong. Someone should have asked the fellow in the Dog Pound which Roosevelt. These to guys had tension between them and I feel who ever is in charge of this show showed bias and who they wanted not to look stupid. (Added-07-30-02)Hello, Dog EAt Dog, it's me again.. Tonights win was a MAJOR crock. How can they let the guy get away with "Roosevelt" alone as an answer? Which one? Theodore? FDR? That guy had no idea. He even thought he guessed wrong. There is NO WAY that win should have been allowed to have been stolen with such a vague answer. I doubt that guy even knew there was more than 1 President Roosevelt unless of course you count "Teddy" and Theodore.
