I am hoping that Comcast will take over Suscom operations SOON! I live near Brunswick NAS and have no other high speed option other than Suscom and they STINK! horrible customer service, horrible Speeds... they limit multiple ports so I am not getting the 5meg connection I pay for..., their answer? "oh well" I had called support repeatedly over the past 6 months complaining about the limited speeds I get when connecting to usenet, they constantly blamed my hardware, etc... even though with this exact same setup I never had a problem with DSL getting full speed... and last week I am finally told they have a 768K cap on all P2P ports.. they aren't competative with other local ISPs at all. I had GWI dsl when I lived in Bath and when I ws downtown Brunswick and it rocked... I wish it was avaiable here.

Service (York, PA) is horrible. Tired of paying loads of money for slower then dial-up "high speed" internet and absolutely nothing to watch on tv because of horrible channel selections. Just about every channel in the top 15 is repeated 2 to 3 times. 2 PBS channels! Internet will go down for no reason and every time you call to complain they think it's a problem on your end. Each and every time it's been on their end. THey don't even know what they are doing. Don't carry OLN or Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia so we get no NHL games except Caps and Pens whom I don't like. Had Comcast for over 5 years and miss them terribly. They charged the same but their internet was incredibly fast and there was always something to watch on tv. I can't wait for Comcast to buy Suscom out.

Overall I feel SUSCOM is average to below average. They can not compete with road runner, and have a monopoly on the Brunswick Area here in Maine. Cable service is average as well as the reception, this of course depends on the weather. As for internet, ALL speeds are capped. You will pay for your upload/download speed and these are hit and miss. You can tell when everyone's online. For service, don't hold your breathe. My net went down for some unknown reason, I suspect the SURFBOARD, and the earliest I can expect to see someone is a week from now. I'm paying 50 bucks a month for my system to gather dust, and they still don't why the net is off line.

Service (in Maine) is up and down like a rollercoaster and the download speeds are horrible. Website looks like it was created by a child and tech support is the worst I have ever talked to...if you can even get hold of them. To top it all off, they charge you more than any other provider I have seen. The second someone else comes into the area offering high speed, I am jumping ship!

My town has regrettably signed a long contract with Suscomm (Susquehanna)which means, for many of us,lots of empty channels on weekends (i.e.) ....watching muscle men on excercise machines etc etc....and meanwhile our rates go UP and UP... I put in a call to Pennsylvania as well as local suscomm co and am told....nothing will change due to competition (i.e.$$$$) The week day fare is mostly crime shows, history of the electric chair type educational programming, dramas full of JUVENILE dialogue...and REPETITIOUS news programs about celebrities and LACY PETERSON...pro-con arguments etc. Not ALL of this is Susquehanna's FAULT. I KNOW that! This stuff is just whats out there..But we should get at least ONE channel's worth of relief.OurLOCAL town channels are mostly VOID..However....THERE ARE music/art programs out there which would not COST the company ANYTHING but shelf space..I think Susquehanna can improve their programming if they felt it PAID to do so but apparently it doesnt... we are... A bit pricey for bigger bandwidth, but pretty dependable. Fairly decent customer service, although, at some times of service outage, they don't have a very good way of communicating the nature of the service interruption or duration. They ought to have lower pricing for more bandwidth and a better means of communication when service is interrupted.
